Does anyone have a clue who this may be? Just curious.

Not to keep posting this link - but he said:

The good thing is we didn't turn the ball over today. I feel like we fulfilled needs. We know a lot about the people we recruited, we conducted physical evaluations, they were all seen by several people on our staffs, checked their character.
Today we needed to turn away a player today that was a very good player because we were filled up, which hasn't happened before.

While I definitely take kill at his word, let's not confuse the word "good" with highly rated.

Other sources are saying 4 star, so apparently the individual in question is both "good" and "highly rated"

I wonder if this was the "mystery visitor" from a couple weeks back.

Minnesota is not anybody's fallback anymore. Your with us or you lose a seat at the table. End of story.

Sounds like it was probably Braderick Shaw.

Really hope it wasn't Shaw, we are not talented enough at the skill positions to turn away a kid like that. Hopefully it was a lineman. If it was him and he turns out to be the next great Wisconsin RB that will be pretty tough to swallow.

His fax came in later today plus apparently the 247 guys say the player signed with a Big Ten rival so it sounds like him. I think we wanted him at DB though, not RB. Anyways, his stock fell a lot and I'd bet that if the recruiting services had to re-evaluate him, he wouldn't be a 4 star anymore. Plus if he was a Jeff Jones caliber back I'm sure they would make room. John Kelly, even though he has a little bit better versatility was considered a take no matter what. Stevenson, is considered a much bigger get at RB for the Wisconsin than Shaw too.

I definitely always believe internet rumors that will never be confirmed by either party involved

I beleive it was someone Kill views as a good player because he confirmed it. I will not beleive random names thrown out by Internet gossips

Shaw would have been a political coup. Doubt it was him.

They also said the player was a 3* composite player on 247.
