Keise blog update: Vic talks about signing on to become a Gopher!!

Welcome to MN, Vic

Vic Keise seems like a solid, committed, real young man. I am impressed by some of the things he said in the latest post in his blog, like "It’s the night before signing day and I can’t sleep. I’m not nervous, I’m just thinking. The next morning when I sign on that line I will be signing an opening to an endless amount of possibilities." That's what I consider to be the perfect way to look at moving on to the college level--an endless amount of possibilities. I also appreciate the way he talked about having his family by his side when he signed, and this quote, "All I needed to hear was my father by my side cheering me on and that’s what it took to defy all odds. They said I couldn’t and I did. They still doubt me but I will continue to prove them wrong because I have people rooting for me and to let them down is not an option." Again, this young man seems to have a really good head on his shoulders and I am hopeful he will represent his family and the U in a positive way! I like the players Brew is recruiting and more importantly, Vic seems to be an example of the fact that I like the PEOPLE Brew is recruiting.

Go Gophers!

I agree - If his blogs are any indication, Vic has role model and future captain written all over him. He seems like a natural leader.

how could you not love the kid

How many kids in high school take time out of their lives to coach kids?? Not many. Class act.

Go Gophers!

Great description. Seems like an outstanding young man that will represent the 'U' very well, on and off the field.

I'm really think Vic is going to be a great Gopher. I was torn in picking between him and Bryant Allen for player I'm most excited about, but I think Vic is going to surprise alot of people. Great to have him on board, seems like one of those pieces to the puzzle that every team needs.

Thanks MilesTones.

Maybe it's because I'm a girl (really!), but this kind of stuff and these kinds of kids are what make me love college football that much more.

great enthusiasm!

Vic, we'll be there cheering you on in your career during and after your Maroon and Gold years! Thanks for taking the time to update us.

Top notch kid--I could care less if Victor was a 1* recruit, this kid has maturity, confidence, and desire and we'll be proud to have him on the sidelines next year! He sounds like he'll become a big part of the community and I expect him to be an excellent possession type receiver who goes over the middle and can occassionally break the big one! Welcome to MN Victor!

To me, it almost seems like he already bleeds the Maroon and Gold just as much as some of our instate recruits. Not only that, he seems like the type of man that will continue giving to the community, long after he's gone from the U. Can't say enough about his maturity.

Personally, I'd rather have a team full of kids who are good kids and work their rumps off and are a bit less talented rather than a team of 'superstars' who could care less about the team. Welcome to Minnesota, Mr. Keise. I hope one day you tell your grandchildren about being on the first team to play in TCF Bank Stadium.
