Josh Campion

Going to prep school did not start his eligibility clock. From what I understand he has 5 years to play 4.

Really? That would be awesome if true. Exactly what we need....another experienced OL that isn't a true frosh. This is a good thing.

GO Gophers. Love the Mc brothers too.

Yep, Campion is the same (in terms of eligibility) as any of the HS kids.

As I said, it was a mystery to me why he dropped. I imagine it had something to do with his back injury and maybe they think he wasn't as good as they once did, however, rivals does put a lot of stock into offers (doesn't base it entirely on offers).

Sorry I don't remember the specifics about this, maybe someone can help me out. IIRC one of the WR who committed last year, but then didn't get into school, he had a similar ratings decrease. He had committed to some bigger school a year or two before (I want to say TENN) but sat out a year and per Rivals policy his rating dropped. Might be the same situation with Josh.

Edit, figured it out, it was James Green.

You're editing is quicker than my Google searching!

My only question is do Green or Campion get five years to play four or four years to play four. I see that Green did play at Toledo as a freshman. Bob_Loblaw, I bow to your expertise on these matters, but I always thought there was some type of "age" or high school graduation clock that entered into these situations.

From my understanding, there is no difference between Campion and Foster Bush in terms of eligibility and there is nothing like a HS graduation close or any sort of age restriction.

The problem comes from the fact that some Prep Schools also have Junior College programs, so kids coming out of the JC program, get attributed to the Prep School by the recruiting services. You sometimes have to look closely to tell the differece.
