I question the same thing. The health issues really ring hollow. Why, Jerry? Why?
I hope his health is good. As I recall, he had a seizure when we played New Mexico State of all teams and then Souhan wrote that awful article.i cannot understand why any football team would want him to be their head coach. absolutely baffling to me
First game would be against the Gophers next fall. Maybe that's why, wants to settle the score with PJ and the U.I question the same thing. The health issues really ring hollow.
So much for his claim of never stepping foot on the U of M campus again!First game would be against the Gophers next fall.
Boy, that's a major rebuilding job.
Hopefully Fleck drops the just do enough to win mentality with non-conf games and we go out and crush them....First game would be against the Gophers next fall. Maybe that's why, wants to settle the score with PJ and the U.
We better or the local media and gopherhole trolls would be insufferable more than usualHopefully Fleck drops the just do enough to win mentality with non-conf games and we go out and crush them....
I am sure that the ticket office would like any angle to try to drum up additional interest in the game, the Coach Kill redemption/revenge/return story might help a little.Hopefully Fleck drops the just do enough to win mentality with non-conf games and we go out and crush them....
He has also been away from the stress of the head coaching role for an extended period of time, able to take care of himself and avoid the issues that were causing the seizures in the past. The will put more people in the stands. He is 1-0 as visiting coach at the Bank.
He’ll be 61 at start of the season. Health seems to be under control.
Maybe the U can put Mason in the ring of Honor at the game.
New Mexico State is a lower level of stress (as a head coach) than he has had since his SIU daysHe has also been away from the stress of the head coaching role for an extended period of time, able to take care of himself and avoid the issues that were causing the seizures in the past.
He won't have that luxury back in the head coaching role. I am sure he THINKS he can handle it, and maybe it turns out he can, but will anyone be surprised when the health problems come back and it all goes to crap?
This is like saying a cocaine addict's health seems to be "under control" right as they exit rehab .... and right before being offered a bag of blow.Health seems to be under control.
lol noNew Mexico State is a lower level of stress (as a head coach)
My wife died of an overdose, stop the stupid comparisons. This is like saying a cocaine addict's health seems to be "under control" right as they exit rehab .... and right before being offered a bag of blow.
That's terrible, sorry to hear that.My wife died of an overdose
The spotlight definitely won't be as bright in the Sun Belt Conference. The question will be if he is willing to do the things he needs to do in order to take care of himself this time around.New Mexico State is a lower level of stress (as a head coach) than he has had since his SIU days
I see/saw all the parallels. Chronic pain and addiction destroy people/families.That's terrible, sorry to hear that.
That does not mean we can't talk about addiction. It's exactly the same mechanism, for Kill.
Of course. Just worried he won't be able to stop himself.Kill doesn’t want his health to stop him from doing what he loves. Only he and his family can make that decision. It’s his life.
Wish him well, but it's risky for Jerry to try again.
