What we’re the five-ish key moments/plays of the game? Is Morgan hurt? How’d we win?

And I honestly have seen 0 plays. I’m at Disneyland. No highlights. Briefly checked stats. Not going to read the game thread.

Tanner got hurt just before the half, which you never want to see.

Our new QB has a better arm and better mobility.

Mo is an absolute beast.

Trickett had a great game. Dylan Wright was utilized. Michael Dixon looked good.
It was good to see D Wright get some targets. He is tough to defend. Really hope he can be a factor against IA and WI in the trophy games. His two downfield catches (and Jackson’s as well) were among the reasons the Nebraska defense had to play more honestly in the second half, opening things up a bit for Mo.

Defense gave up a touchdown first drive. Field goal also early. Adjusted and shut them down

Offense sucked ass in the first half.
Made a few plays early 3 that loosened them up and finished the game as most expected the whole game to go

D started slow but figured it out and dominated after the first couple series.

Offense was terrible in the first half, couldn't do anything.

Morgan got hurt, Athan came in, and the Nebraska D had no clue what hit them.

TM sucked
AK lit it up Mo
Then we won!

Also, if you do decide to watch the game....fast forward to the second half and save yourself a lot of frustration. :)

Tanner Morgan should no longer be our quarterback. AK is a better QB then Tanner Morgan. Bench Morgan in favor of AK.

That is my takeaway in three sentences.

Gophers looked dead in the water the 1st half.
Outscored Neb 20-3 in the 2nd half.
got interesting down the stretch, but Neb couldn't convert on a 4th down play on final drive.

We spent the first half trying to do what we always do by running outside zone and slants to a well prepared Nebraska D.

The second half was a more downhill power attack mixed with K-gun's vertical attack.

We played bully ball in the second half successfully by running straight at them and it worked.

Bottom line is that the defense won the game.

But the individual MVP may be Athan. You can't measure his effect on this game by just looking at the box score. After he arrived to start the second half, the entire offense played much better; line blocked better, receivers moved better, and even Mo ran better.

And Trickett hit two long field goals that he might have missed last season.
