I really hope I am wrong but I don't see us stopping Wisconsin's run game. We have to some how stack up the fullback before he can get to our linebackers. Then we might have a chance to slow them down.

Indiana lost this game before leaving Bloomington. I bet our coaches really build up our confidence this week, because watching this game could make us feel like we have no chance to beat Wisc. We do. We can. I think we will.

No one can really truly stop them. Gordon, White, and the O-line are awfully good. We have to slow them down and make them earn every yard. And our offense is going to have to keep their offense off the field.

They are a big play team, for sure. But if we can harry their QB all day and score some points, we have a chance at home.

We do have to keep perspective here. Indiana's defense can hardly stop a nose bleed.

Nothing new here. They average 280 rush yards a game. They will get yards on the ground for sure. I'm not saying that means we will lose. We have a shot, but i don't have much confidence in keeping their yards less than 200. It is their identity.

Maybe we step up and hit them in the mouth. But we will have to find ways to win without relying on stopping the run, since that will be a huge task.

Indiana has done two things wrong that we don't normally do. Turn the ball over and have costly penalties. Their LBs are also playing the majority of the game in the wrong gaps and making terrible reads as well. The weather has played right into Wisconsin's hands as well.

Wisconsin will get their rushing yards against us, but we will fare a hell of a lot better than Indiana. IMO. Hope I'm not wrong either.

We played toe-to-toe with Indiana Indiana is losing 37-3.

It doesn't look like we can realistically hope to 1. score on the Wisconsin D or 2. stop Wisconsin from scoring. I agree with the OP: It's not looking good.

I don't like our chances but Indiana gave up after their 2nd possession. Pick and then a fumble and both led to wisky tds. Indiana played about as bad as they could in the first quarter. No real comparison IMO

I guess we should just forfeit.

I think there are more factors than what you are saying going into the score of this Wisconsin v. Indiana game. How about, Indiana opening up with a interception. The type of weather right now in Wisconsin is not necessarily conducive to a spread hurry up offense. Not to mention, Indiana's defense has been on the field for most of the game. There are quite a few things that are going into Indiana looking like dogsh!t right now. Plus, it is usually pretty tough to win on the road in the B1G Ten.

This. Indiana got off to about as bad of a start as you could in this situation.

The Wisco OL averages 6'5" 320 lbs. That is a lot of beef. Gordon has 146 yards and White has 205 yards today with a quarter to play. The Gophers need to control the ball and keep the ball away from the Wisco offense to have any chance IMO.

Gophers have demonstrated the resilience to bounce back from a tough start, a bad break, or even a costly mistake.

Indiana pretty much gave up at about the end of the 1st quarter. It has been pitiful. Then they had the ball on Wisky's 1 yard line, THEN they take a delay of game calling in about THREE different plays into their 'No-Huddle' from the sidelines and only get a FG. It was pathetic.

They will get their yards, we just can't give them the 30, 40, and 70 yard runs. Those are devastating. Make them work up and down the field and have to convert some third downs through the air, and hope Stave is shaky and makes some mistakes. We don't have to completely shut down their run game to win the game. There are other options, we've seen it our past 4 games.

Wisky is very good this year. We will need some lucky breaks to hang with them. God knows we are overdue against them.

I still seem them playing out there. This is the kind of rationalization many fans do to try to comfort themselves when they know a team they're about to play likely overmatches them in just about every aspect.

Switch the teams and make it the Gophers that are pounding on Indiana. Do you still tout 'well Indiana stopped playing'? Likely not and if someone did say that you'd likely counter 'well it's because of what WE did to them'.

Dude, you're a Sconnie fan. It's painfully obvious.

I guess you're technically right. I see them still playing also, the game is still on TV, and they are ON the TV. Not much else.

Well if we went by other game comparisons and didn't play the game every week then I believe the consensus after Michigan is we won't win another game all year. What's different about Indiana today? No Coleman, and also if it rains their QB's are useless. What's not? Defense is among the worst in the country. So let's not show up. I think I will go online now and just sell my tickets to Badger fans.

Look forward to next week's game, folks. Good luck, may the better team win and let's avoid injuries. Until then....

Indiana folded after their rough start. They knew they were overmatched needing everything to go well to have a chance. The Gophers will know they can beat wisc so a bad break early won't cause panic.

Their game today will make the wood MN lays on Wisconsin next weekend all the more impressive.

I think the defense can play good enough to win.

I'm more worried about an offense that starts 1-2 seniors, and that's being conservative, against a Wisky defense with 8+ seniors starting, including almost the entire front 7.

Wisky's gotta LOVE playing in the Leaders division. Must be nice having Illinois and Purdue on the schedule. They've beaten absolutely NOBODY this year and are whining about a BCS berth. Classic.

Who have we beaten that you feel Wisconsin couldn't beat? The Legends seemed like the tougher division at the beginning of the season but I'm not so sure anymore.
