When TCF Bank Stadium opened in 2009, the scoreboard was the third-largest in college sports at 48x108 feet (5,184 sq ft).
In 2013, just four years later and with the news that Illinois will be installing a new video board at Memorial Stadium (source: http://www.news-gazette.com/sports/...oards-coming-memorial-stadium-not-season.html) the board at TCF will be the fourth-largest in the B1G:
Illinois: 125 x 54 (6,750)
Michigan St: 114.8 x 47.2 (5,418)
Ohio State: 124 x 42 (5,208)
Minnesota: 108 x 48 (5,184)
Just a reminder how quickly things ratchet up in the facilities race.
