Not sure this is worth a new thread but Im curious how many tickets are still available for this Saturdays game. Im sure it wont sellout but I hope we still have a good crowd. Ill be there with my dad.

Quickly flipping through the map on mygophersports, there are a lot fewer tickets left than one would probably expect for a game against Kent State. Some in the corners but generally full (I'd say 90% of tickets are sold). Even sections like 230 and 231 (upper level corners) have very few seats available.

That said, I think a lot of tickets for this game sold in the two-packs so there are a bunch available on the secondary market and probably a lot of tickets that will go unused (because they were purchased by Nebraska or bagder [sic] fans, so I wouldn't expect a 90% full stadium on Saturday.

They also have a Living Social special for this game as well so I wonder if they save some seats for that? I purchased five for $15 each last week.

I got a half-dozen extra tix for this game as part of a two pack deal. I was hoping to bring my kid and a handful of his buddies but HS sports is getting in the way. I doubt I'll be able to get more than a few bucks for them. I'm guessing some two-pack buyers will treat these as throw away tix. So yeah, there will be some empty seats but it is Kent St afterall.

I wonder how full the student section will be. Hopefully decently?

It will be a beautiful day and the first gameday of the school year so they will be there - but with the weather and the amount of morning drinking, don't expect them to stay for too long.

I got official word from the U that they have "a few thousand left."

I got unofficial word from a source that said around 9K.

I personally think there will be a decent number announced, due to the bundling, but maybe 40K or so butts in seats. It should be a gorgeous day, for $15...I can't think of anything better to do on a Saturday!

Thank you Nadine for the update. Hope to see you all there.

Nothing else going on.
No leaves to rake
To early to close the cabin
Dwindling garage sales
""Back to school" sales over with
No hunting yet
Fishing right now is terrible unless you live in Ely/ Boundary waters
No fall golf rates yet.

What's weird is there is hardly anything available on the chart at gophersports.com. I didn't click on every section but I did on the upper corners and there is very little available.

Guess we'll all just have to show everyone it's the best way to spend a Saturday and live it up!

51,000 tickets distributed so far for #Gophers-Kent St. So there should be a nice crowd on Sat. for the worst possible start time, IMO.

There's only 415 posted on Stubhub, so if people are dumping the extra game from two-packs, they aren't trying very hard to get money for them.

I suspect the crowd will be decent but with holes scattered around. But that's not just us. Any B1G home game anywhere against these less teams have the same issue. Empty seat suits were out in force at Wisconsin, Penn State last week, for example.

Just called to get a couple extra tickets. My ticket rep said only 1100 left for the game, which includes a lot of singles. My extra seats are corner, near the top. That was the best that was available

These early season non conference 11:00 AM games are often ones that season ticket holders skip even if the weather is nice. An easy win is expected and a nice day in the 70s in mid September is deemed as a reason to golf, do yard work, bike ride, go boating or whatever. The people not wanting the game, but taking it in the two pack, create another opportunity for unused seats. The lack of StubHub traffic, currently 291 tickets available, has more to do with there being little to no after market for this type of game than there being an indication that tickets will be heavily in use. My take is that live bodies will be in the 44,000 range. I'll be there with my four year old son at his first Gopher game. He won't make it the whole way, but we'll have fun while he lasts.

Fair to say that because an 11 AM game vs Kent State is on pace to draw 51,000+ that the Homecoming Game next week vs Ohio at 2:30 PM will be a sell out? Or at least very close to it?

Pending good weather, I think so.

Wait and see how many of these "ticket holders" show up. I don't mean to be a debbie downer but I feel like it won't be as full as some of you are thinking based off the ticket sales, especially since it was part of the 2 packs. My whole group will be there but we had a hell of a time finding enough people to go as everyone was out of town.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I picked up four extra tix for this game as part of a 2-pack. It is not like I have tried too hard but I can't give these tix away. I've offered them to a few different people I know but got the "thanks but no thanks" response. I'm guessing their street value will be about $5 per pair or about the price of a TCF beer for all four of them. Oh well, I'll still be there.

The twins just cancelled tonight's game and rescheduled for noon tomorrow. That will increase no shows.

It could slightly reduce the amount of walk-up sales tomorrow, but I don't think that would increase no-shows at all. If people have a ticket already, the Twins game won't change anything.
