Everytime I see Mangino I want to poke him with a hot pin to see if he explodes like a wood tick. Seriously, he looks like a wood tick that spent 4 weeks on the family dog. Big body with those little legs and arms sticking out.

Now, that there is funny. Even though I slightly resemble that remark.

I am a little surprised at how few firings there have been so far. There will probably be a few more, but I think schools realize the value of coaching continuity and there are probably quite a few that are are saying, "Give him one more year to see if he can work out."

I think it might be a sign of the economic times that schools don't want to pay a huge bailout for the coach and then hire someone else, too. With the exponentially rising costs to go to a university, it's pretty tough to throw millions at old and new coaches.
