Homecoming Uniforms: Numbers on helmets against Maryland.

according to my notes, the W/M/W combo was worn once before during the Fleck era - so sometime between 2017 and now. my list is not broken down by games and seasons. maybe someone else has a more detailed listing?
You are right one game one loss for W/M/W

(Page 9 for uniform combinations)

The university puts out great game notes before each game!

interestingly - on that chart, it apparently lists games with the Chrome Helmets as "Gold." there is not a separate listing for the Chrome helmets - which I would argue is a separate category from the Gold helmets. maybe that made the chart too complicated.

according to my notes, the Gophers wore the Chrome helmets 19 times in the Fleck era.

I LOVE these throwbacks to the early 60s (our last glory days). I would not be disappointed if these were the permanent uniforms.

Uniforms matter. Weird things matter. Stuff you wouldn’t think of matters.

When I was a senior in HS, I was all locked in to go to Luther College to play basketball.

I took a last minute tour at Gustavus. It was during fraternity rush. As we left the admin building to begin the tour, the sidewalk passed by a dramatic bronze statue of a naked man and a naked woman holding up a baby, each holding one of the baby’s limbs above them. Someone had crawled up there and put a diaper on that bronze baby the night before.

That night, I thought about that diapered baby at Gustavus and also about how Luther made their freshmen live in gender-specific all-freshmen dorms, and how Gustavus had all ages in dorms that were male/female by floor (not to mention they were “wet” dorms). I changed my mind that weekend. Totally silly reasons but I changed my mind. Kids can be weird that way. Not consistently, but weird things like uniforms can do it for athletes too.

Lord, I wish I would watch the game. The number of political ads is rising to sickening levels. The worst part is that, living is the Minneapolus/St Paul Metro area, the number of ads for Western Wisconsin races adds to the disgust. I live in Minnesota, I don't care about Wester Wisconsin politics.

I was living in North Carolina and moved to California last year, but until recently my YouTube TV was still set to NC, where the political ads were frequent and nasty. I finally got around to changing it to Los Angeles a couple weeks ago to be able to watch a Vikings game and it's like night and day. Hardly any political ads in California!

I'm jealous.
