I like this uniform, even better if they are wearing black shoes! They wore a similar combo against Maryland a few years ago and the Gophers lost. Better luck this time!

this is only the 2nd time the Gophers will wear White/Maroon/White in the Fleck era in 92 games.

All-Maroon remains the most common combo at 17 times. Chrome/White/Maroon in 2nd at 9 times, and Maroon/White/Maroon in 3rd place at 8 times.

You know, it occurs to me that this is a pretty bold move.

For those who complain that Minnesota should "aim higher", this, to me at least, looks like an answer. This feels like the team saying, "We aspire to regain the glory of this team's rich history, rather than hide from it and/or settle for something less".

I'm 68 years old, and despite my advanced age I was only 5 years old when they won a national title wearing this combination. It has been a long, long time... so I admire the audacity.

Keep aiming higher!

We're about to watch a battle between FleckBall vs. the team that currently leads the B1G in passing yards per game.

... and it's Minnesota's homecoming.

... and the Gophers will be wearing a modern version of the uniforms we wore the last time we won a National Championship.

In my opinion: anyone who can't get excited for this game should give up college football and start watching soccer, or perhaps the NBA. Or maybe NASCAR. Or... hot dog eating contests.

It's one game and it's homecoming. Have some fun celebrating the past lol.

The good thing with all of our combinations of pants, helmets, jerseys, face masks and helmet decals that if you don't like one combo the odds are you won't see it ever again that season.

Also, pants are the ones they wore at Michigan and at UCLA. Were those not real uniforms?

Yes. I do not like white pants at home. Never have. They ARE that bad. Maybe not in 1960, but in 2024 it is no likey for me. I do get that they are trying to stir the ghosts of the most recent national championship with this combo, so it isn’t as if I’m going to refuse to go to the game because they are wearing white pants.

It could be worse… white pants under gold jerseys like 2014 vs Ohio State.

Now that gold is back in the jersey rotation, I cannot wait for the gold/white jersey combo!

No matter the helmet option, I think this look with the new template will be awesome! And if not, I will make a bunch of people angry. Win-win

Huge fan of honoring past teams and looks. I’m also just happy that we have a school/program that puts in effort to change the look on the regular basis. The truth is, that matters to recruits these days.
