Hole Poll: What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over West Virginia?

Not going to enter a grade for the entire team.... Rossi and the defense get an A. The offensive line and running backs get an A.

Whoever was calling the plays and Morgan would kind of sully the overall team grade to a B- or C+. This game should have been over in the first 20 minutes.

Offensive play calling is always an "F".

Perfect response, Dan Barrierrio.

Should have gone for the TD at the end to run up the score. Right?
Sure. Or just in any capacity at any point actually stomped on an inferior teams throat. Otherwise spot on

The coaches were preparing a gameplan for West Virginia.
The coaches prepared the gameplan that made absolutely certain this game was never in doubt.

Anyone care to disagree?
Yes 100% if this was their “gameplan” it was the only circumstance in which they hung around. This should’ve been a Colorado drubbing

Can't blame the coaches for a missed FG, fumble or a receiver slipping on the Int. Scoreline didn't reflect the extent of our dominance in every facet of a well-executed game plan IMHO.

Glad to end the season with the Gophers winning more bowl games than the entire SEC (as things currently stand).

"B" because Gophers could have put the game away long before the 4th quarter; no balance between passing and running. Some bad calls, no killer instinct. Altogether a much better season than I expected at 9-4 - just a shame it wasn't 10-3. Looking forward to Ciarrocca calling plays again (too bad he isn't making that cool million Rossi is getting and deserves). The national sports media didn't seem to notice that Minnesota was 4th in the nation in total defense. Great D tonight.

Earlier this year I said F until Sanford was gone. Sanford is now gone. So back to As.

Tressel-ball got the job done today.

Did you put any money down? If not, blow it out your ass, Dan Barrierro.

A fumble on the 5-yard line and a missed field goal aren't on the coaches. Execution matters sometimes. The game would have been on the road to blowout if not for those. I'm not going to complain about the play calling even if it went conservative in the 2nd half. A flea flicker is far from conservative, but Morgan effed it up. The pass that resulted in an interception wasn't conservative either.

They played a 6-6 ACC team, and the game was never... NEVER... in doubt.

They were 4.5 to 5 point favorites, and they easily covered.

Where was your money, Dan Barrierrio?

Solid D will almost always give you a W. Throw in a very conservative O and red zone TO's and FG gaffes and the W can be somewhat shakey. But it worked tonite against an average opponent.

This. We could’ve put it away much earlier. Happy we won, but god damn this could’ve been an exclamation point
