Hayo update?

I just can't believe that Florida wanted him...maybe we're not giving him enough of a chance?

I remember all the blue sky when he arrived. This was THE guy that was going to take all the pressure off of Decker. Nobody said in August that he should sit for a year. I realize people are just throwing ideas out there now that the reality has not come close to matching the expectations. That is athletics... some "can't miss" high school players never pan out in college. Some stud college players never pan out in pro. Some kids develop early and then plateau/decline. Some kids develop late with size or speed. You can't win them all, and sometimes you get a gift. I'm not saying Carpenter is good or bad. Either way he isn't seeing the field and that is something everyone can agree on.

I think that Brew and Co. have definitely learned from recruiting skill position JUCO's. The transition is just too difficult considering the new schemes and reads one has to learn to make in under two years. The only chance they have at being successful is arriving in January and even than it is difficult. I have no issue bringing in D-Line or O-Line Juco's because in those situations it really is athleticism that makes or breaks you when you're playing.

could you imagine hayo on Froridas team? He might be slower then some of their d-linemen. Also if getting here in August is too late, then why do true freshmen make impacts every year in college football.

you can't really RS JUCO's. They don't want to take a RS and other JUCOs probably won't be that interested if you do so. He definitely could've benefitted from one, but on the other hand if he really just isn't that good that's just another scholly you can't use for an extra year

Hayo is also already 23 years old.
