And as long as the clock is running, running the ball makes the clock your 12th man. They ran to convert first downs, and it was the QB who ran the ball in.
 

Years ago our team got accused of running up the score because they went for a 2 pt. conversion when they had a big lead. Well, it turned out the third team offense was in and they didn't have a third team kicker. The coach didn't want to sub the 1st or 2nd team back in for the conversion so he just had the 3rd team go for two. So running up the score can be a lot about which perspective you are looking from.

I friggin' hate the "Then stop them" line of BS. There are some teams that are unable to stop them. It happens. It's a matter of how the team is managed when the game is out of hand.

If I'm on a team that is getting blown out, yet we can't stop them, I would take it as an insult if they just took a knee every play to "give" the ball back to me. They are treating my team like we are not worthy of being on the same field. If they put in the players that need some real game experience, and they are far down the depth chart, I will understand if they run their offense and don't do anything stupid like throwing the ball downfield, running trick plays etc.
 

................didn't we lose to Iowa 55-0 a few years back? That's classy though? Stay away from kinnick. The stadium is a joke and their fans are worse.

Maybe, because the rest of the Hawkeye posters hammered him for his point and his post.
 

You need to get reps in for your second and third stringers in preseason games. It is not like BB's Wisky two point conversion or anything malicious like that.

To be fair, it was only one idiot that was saying Kill was running it up. The others just made fun of the OP.

I don't think "they" is an accurate term. It is one convoluted idiot named pantherhawk who is speaking for the inglorious state of Iowa.

Remember, where ever PH is, there is always one more horses ass than there are horses present.
 

Running it up with a QB that is getting his first few snaps in the big 10 and a walk on running back. This corn cob is dumber than I thought he was. Nice post Eric.
