I was at the press conference. Pretty cool thing to see.
Man, Cyclone Fanatic is in total meltdown mode.
What in the world made them think they had a chance, that they weren't being included in his top fiv..., er, top six as a courtesy?

Man, it's crazy how some decisions make you lose a lot of respect for a person. I dislike UNC so much that anybody who declares for UNC loses a lot of respect. And I don't know how I got to this point. My brother's a Dookie, but I don't like Duke at all. In fact, the whole university kind of annoys me. Maybe it's just that I really disliked "Psycho T". Strange. My rankings of least favorite collegiate basketball programs are probably:
1. Wisconsin (obvious)
2. Kentucky (I already disliked Kentucky, and now that they've opted to run a straight Gangster program, I have no respect for them at all).
3. UNC (not sure why. Maybe I just don't like winners who aren't us. Plus, Roy Williams seems like kind of an arrogant ass).
4. Duke (the whole scrappy white boys who can shoot thing, and the slapping the floor annoys me).
Actually, that's all I can think of. I don't really hate the other Big Ten programs. I cheer for them in the NCAA tourney if we're not in it. And I can't think of another program that really is as insufferable as these four.

I imagine something similar will happen on this board when Sentreal commits to USC. He'll give some sign of hope a week or two before he commits and everybody will get excited, and he'll end up somewhere else.
I hate to be wrong but in this case I think it's okay since Barnes (by all accounts) is a great young man. What I will say is this is the 2nd time I've underestimated Roy Williams in a recruiting battle and I'm never going to do it again. I had heard UNC chatter and a couple of people said Roy and the Carolina people felt really good about Barnes but I never bought it. Ole' Roy is a smooth operator and when in doubt he pulls out his nuclear option: the greatest basketball player of all time.
