Gophers record last 3 games

3-0. OL needs to be dominating.

Nebraska will want to win one for Tommy and won't endure three straight losses. Madison is probably hopeless. That leaves NW, which has a good passing game from Thorston and Carr, but doesn't run as much as it should and doesn't have a great defense - yet last year they pasted the Gophers. So, 1-2 for an 8-4 season that could go 9-4 with a bowl win. You have to temper that by realizing that last year's crossover teams would kill us this year, while we beat both Maryland and Rutgers.

What does the last sentence have to do with anything?

Common sense: we were better last year than the record shows; we are not as good as the record this year. With Michigan and Ohio State, we'd be 6-6, not 8-4, assuming we beat NW.

We are what the record says we are. I'll never apologize for a win and never apologize for an easier schedule. We don't set the conference schedule. What do you get out of finding the downside in every Gophers scenario?

I would not be a bit surprised with an 0-3 finish, but after the 0-2 start am happy they're in this position. Going into the season with the first soft schedule in quite awhile, I assumed they'd get tripped up by at least one of the last four teams they played. We always seem to lose a game that people have in the gimme column going into the season, so it was nice to hold serve there. I've seen nothing so far that leads me to believe a win over the Badgers is coming this year, and I personally think a west division title would always feel cheaper if we couldn't say we were better than the Badgers. That said, the one thing that always gets overlooked is that college teams do improve over the course of a long season. I'll hold out some hope that we may see that play out over the next 3 weeks.

Well, it really is a little more complicated than that. You don't have to live in reality.

In seriousness, I ragged on Iowa last year for the same reason, yet here we are with the same kind of delusional fans. The team is not in any way terrible, but we are not a top 5 team (like Iowa 2015 that was really more like a top 25 type team) as we would be ranked if not for a few coaching and player blunders (b/c we'd be 9-0).

SO what you think will be our record the last 3 games. Will we wins out, go 3-0, 2-1, 1-2, 0-3.

I love to see us wins out. It going to be tough. I do think we can wins in Nebraska and beat Northwestern at home. Wisconsin is gonna be tough on the road.

+1

Nothing this team does surprises me - either good or bad. I could see this team going 0-3, 1-2 or 2-1 in the last three games. I just don't think this team is capable of playing three great games in a row (some would say they're not capable of playing 1 good game in a row.......).

My gut tells me the Gophs will win at least 1 of the last 3 games. If I had to bet my own money, I would say they finish 8-4 in the regular season. If they can win a bowl game, they finish 9-4, which by recent historical standards, has to be considered a successful season, regardless of the perceived strength of schedule.

All 3 are winnable with a break or two. I say 2-1.

Probably 1-2

I think Nebraska and northwestern are both pretty equal to the gophers (especially if Armstrong is out).

I am expecting 1 win (NW), and anything more is a bonus...
