I believe that we will win.
Seems low to me?22.5?
Ouch
Looks like we're due to drive that average to a less disrespectful margin
More matchup details.... Oregon's offense doesn't suffer many negative plays, but has a lot of explosives. Can the Gophers defense break that trend?Big time contrast in defensive styles coming up. As we've seen, the Gophers have been able to create negative plays. Oregon, by contrast, gives up very few explosive plays. The Gophers will probably need to be +2 (or better) in TO to come away with the win.
Trap game forthcoming!Could see this getting pair shaped fairly quickly but if the weather sucks, factor in it's a short week for Oregon coming off an emotional high and gophs are coming off a bye week, I could see people being tempted to take the gophs to cover. Be interesting to see how the line moves through the week. Part of the reason Wisconsin and Iowa were so close on top of their good defensive efforts the weather in those games was pretty shitty as well, definitely helps if your goal is to muck it up
They’ve only scored 31+ against one big ten opponent and 30-10 wouldn’t cover.Seems low to me?
Fair - I was more thinking the Gophers have been outscored 83-6 in the B10 road games so far...They’ve only scored 31+ against one big ten opponent and 30-10 wouldn’t cover.
Seems low to me too. But could easily end up a 28-10 or 35-14 game
I will be surprised if they do either way.Fair - I was more thinking the Gophers have been outscored 83-6 in the B10 road games so far...
It Taylor plays I think the Gophers will cover the spread. I don't think they will if he is out.
One of the biggest problems the gophers have if Taylor doesn’t play is the best strategy to win the game is to come out throwing and that is also a strategy that makes blowout more likely.I hope I am wrong but I don't see our offense getting anything going in this one and our defense giving up chunk plays something like 42-6 with PJ kicking a field goal with under 2 minutes left to cut the margin. Hope I am wrong.
I liked the Gophers against the spread at tOSU.I like the Gophers against this spread. Oregon coming off an emotional win on the road at Iowa and a short week. Oregon's pass game is beat up a bit.
Our margin of loss in our two conference losses is almost unthinkable. It was as though the Gophs had nothing to use to compete with a good team on the road. I believe this Gopher team has the talent to compete at Oregon. Maybe not win, but compete. But to compete, both of our coordinators are going to produce their best game plans and in-game play calling of the year. And on/field leaders must play with confidence. Defense must create turnovers. Offense must sustain drives. It’s that simple.
You been smokin the peyote.I believe that we will win.
Our O line will get manhandled by Oregon. When your O line gets manhandled, you get blown out. We…..can’t……run……the ball. Oregon’s offense has too much speed for the Gopher defense.Iowa lost to Oregon by 2 snd came within a few seconds of winning, Wisconsin, in a tough weather game, lost to Oregon by “only” two touchdowns. I think, for ranking purposes, Oregon will be looking for its first convincing victory in a while. Too bad the Gophers are up. So far this year, the Gophs have played badly, or horribly, on the road. More of the same this week? Game over before the 1st Q expires? Or can the Gophers compete? Go Gophers!
