Sort of interesting that "Mr. Not Minnesota Nice", who's so critical, chose to apologize for being too "aggressive". Sounds better to him, I guess, than apologizing for being a jerk, even though he obviously prides himself on telling it like it is.

I have often said that I didn't believe Shortell would see a snap this season. I may be wrong, and the fact that Kill is bringing in QBs at a rapid pace (and the possiblity of still another) makes me think that Max will see some snaps.

However, to believe he will challenge for the starting position is pretty pie in the sky. We will see Parish and Foreman on the field before Shortell.

As for the "cut" and "take away scholarship" comments about Alipate--that is plain IGNORANCE. What a ridiculous and awful statement. You should be embarassed of yourself. Moses has been a GOPHER and a great example of what kind of athletes we want here.

I think we can stop mentioning Moses, he clearly isn't in the plans and should be buried somewhere or released from his scholarship for someone else.

1) Moses was the second best QB in the Spring Game.

2) Released from his scholarship talk is just stupid. He's an excellent athlete who could help the team somewhere else if QB is not inn his future.

3) He made a commitment to the U of M & the U of M made a commitment to Moses. What a great message that would send to our home state talent huh? "Stay home, close the borders with us, but if you're not a starter by your Jr year we'll cut your schollie". In life, you honor your commitments.

I'll take it. People get cut from teams, it happens. If he doesn't lose the weight and do the things to stay on the team "his love" means nothing but an opportunity to wear his gear around campus.


I want to win football games. Period. Adam Lueck can show his gopher love without a scholarship.

What other players have we cut?
