Taking home the Axe or Floyd the Pig and playing in a bowl game will always merit at least a (B-). Winning a bowl game in addition to taking the Axe or Pig will qualify for a (B) or maybe (B+). An (A-) grade requires a Top 20 season record and a Top (10) season deserves an (A). The only way to achieve an (A+) is to win the Big 10 championship. I will never give up on that dream.

Loss to UNC; should have been a win
Loss to Iowa; not competitive in second half. Trophy game.
Loss to Michigan; not competitive in crucial first half. Trophy game
Loss to PSU but competitive with go ahead possible TD from 7 yard line late. Trophy game
Win at Camp Randall with 60 minutes of great football. Trophy game
1-4 in trophy games
Over performed against pre season pundits, but inconsistency cost them from a B level year., an 8-3 or 9-2

Willing to change to a B with a convincing Bowl game, particularly if LSU is the opponent..

I went with a B, but would have gone B- if an option.

C. B- if they play and beat a good team in their bowl game.

B-/C+

All things considered going back to preseason, this is respectable. Looking back, we left 2-3 wins on the table so doesn't quite feel as good as it should

Loss to Rutgers sort of tipped it for me. Loss today and I probably would have seriously contemplated a D.

I went with a "B" and feel good about it.

The Rutgers game aside, the fortitude we showed coming back at MI and then building on that as a collective team (coaches and players) was very satisfying.

I mean...we had Fleck haters complaining this season that he was too aggressive. That was worth a "B" all on its own.

Very pleased with the continued growth of the coaching staff on both sides of the ball. However, somebody please get our ST Coach a punter that doesn't look like he's kicking a saturated sponge.

I hope we get an SEC opponent in the bowl game and finish off strong. I'm looking forward to NE being ranked #13 in the 2025 preseason polls.

Did a B because I am riding high from the Pissconsin trashing.

When you look at all of it a lot of disappointments and missed opportunities but happy to hopefully be heading to Nashville/Charlotte

B for me. The October games, plus PSU and today, made for a mostly enjoyable football season. Snagging Max was a huge get that in the end paid off nicely. Coach understands The Portal and that will bode well over time.

Once again the pre-season bettors had it about right at 6 or 7 wins. Hitting the upper was enough for me to get the B.

I went with B, missed opportunities against NC, Rutgers, Michigan and Penn St. Dominating Wisconsin today erased all the coulda, shoulda, woulda for me

I hope they are headed to FLA for Citrus or Reliaquest Bowl.

Definitely a C or D with Wisconsin today if they lost

Today makes it a B

Maybe a low B

But how can you say C with a winning conference season and a Wisconsin win?
Top 15 season since 1969

I think most betting places had Gophs at 5 wins.

I rated them a half-grade higher simply because we became pass first. I'm not saying go for air raid, but it's awfully difficult to recruit top offensive players when all you do is run.

I'm just glad Fleck showed he's willing to implement a passing offense. He showed growth.

I believe we earned a solid B beating Wisconsin soundly.
Season could have had such a different outlook if we win the first game.
Then as others have said, beat Rutgers and we are 9 and 3.
Now, close the deal and beat Penn St...dang 10 and 2
No reason not to vanquish Iowa....might as well beat Michigan too!
12 and 0 was actually pretty close.

We had close wins and closes losses. Overperformed in some games, underperformed in others. Failed to outperform my low preseason expectations and those of most onlookers.

This was a team that has good co.ponents and could have been better. They earned a C.

7-5 is 7-5.

Solid 'C"

Could have been better. Beating Wisconsin makes for a nice end.

I think B, maybe B-. Some missed opportunities for sure, but that's football at the end of the day. The team bounced back when needed and had some good moments, including today.

Anyone saying anything other than B I don’t understand as a person
Just on record, I can see C+/B-. But looking at areas where Fleck finally showed a willingness to change/adapt as the season went on, that is certainly commendable and deserves a higher grade.

Yeah maybe

But if B or C

Definitely B

I think recency bias comes in for folks that are at an A or B. If you swapped out the dates for Rutgers and Wisconsin folks would be much more app to be at the C level. Depends what each individual person’s goals are. I think we continue to have lost opportunities to have really good years and having our former quarterback absolutely hammer us with his new team was a season killer. That said, wow great game today coaching and executing.

What Go4 writes is sound. Only way this year could be upgraded to B + is if they beat a perceived strong opponent such as Clemson (sorry Syracuse or BC).

B- Exceeded my expectations of a 6-6 season. Highlights- Beat Bert, Sconnie (hopefully breaking their bowl streak), and USC. Lowlights- Lost to Iowa, UNC, and could’ve beat Michigan dang onside kick.

PJ and staff do a great job working the portal system and coaching the team up.
