Additional Comments: I left MN in 1996 after having season tickets for the previous 5 years. I missed the 96-97 season but lived in Las Vegas and went to Bally's to watch every game. I have been following the Gopherhole from it's start.

Best Memories of U of M...Watching Gopher FB during the early 60's National Championship team consisting of two-way players like Sandy Stephens, Bill Munsey, et.al. Also watching BB with McHale, Thompson, Saunders, et.al.
What I miss most: The old 3-sided scoreboard with white lights at Williams Arena. (NOT). Actually, Ray Christianson and Julius Perralt.
Most look forward to: Golden Gopher FB back ON campus, and Golden Gopher BB getting back to final 4.

What I'd like to see enhanced: Recruiting forum for football and basketball. More in-depth reports and some about past sports heroes (where they are now, the successes they've enjoyed in the private/public sector since they left the playing fields, and the importance of their college experience in their professional life). Threads with incessant bickering locked.

What I like about GopherHole: Recruiting information and some insider information not published in the local fish wraps. Other than that, I don't like much. Half the posters make this place uninviting and overwhelmingly negative.

What I'd like to see enhanced: Better moderating. If the intention is to be a fan site, make it a fan site. Get rid of trolls. Additionally, maybe it's necessary to create a separate forum for codgers and pessimists. Those of us who want to genuinely support, cheer for and be excited about Gopher football and basketball can have a forum to drink Kool-Aid and share our unabashed excitement like true fans. Those who want to pine for Mason, trash the coaches and their decisions, call out student-athletes and generally dwell on the negative can have their own "fan" forum.

Additional Comments: (specificity is welcome) Better moderating would also delete similar threads. There is no reason to have two or three threads about each new recruit. Likewise, every random thought that pops into someone's head doesn't warrant a new thread. My two cents.

What I like about GopherHole: The camaraderie of exchanging ideas with other fans. I don't have time to search for good info, the work you all do to summarize and collate is greatly appreciated.

- More "where are they now?"...and ask them about those special moments they were a part of in Gopher history.
- summary view of posts on main page...today you can only see who replied by clicking on the thread start
- links to game photos....from summary page

What I like about GopherHole: I like to hear insight and speculation about Gopher players/trends/games/developments.

What I'd like to see enhanced: I really wish the moderators were more judicious about banning people who bring down the quality of the board. I'm going to take a break from the board for a while because I'm annoyed with circular reasoning/discussion along with abrasive/inane posters. Really, if they are detracting from the board, just give them the boot.

What I like about GopherHole: Selection Sunday, Bleed, G4L, Snowman, Johnny, BGA and others: their invaluable information and insight on the game. I like the family atmosphere and personalities that emerge; some really great humorists too (when is “The Bold and Gopherhole” coming back Moonlight?). And where else can one find people talking about everything Gopher Basketball with no fees or strings attached? Knowing the recruiting details is especially great.

What I'd like to see enhanced: Recruiting database.

Additional Comments: While I don’t post as much as others, I have been around this board through multiple site changes and many years (since 2003?). I miss having a more tightly knit group of posters but it is also nice to have different perspectives that come with the increased membership that Tubby’s hiring has facilitated.

What I'd like to see enhanced: things are pretty sweet
