To the GopherHole Community –

In just over a month, the face of Gopher athletics will change forever. The impact that TCF Bank Stadium will bring to the Gophers will be unlike anything this athletic department has ever experienced. This impact is far greater than what a single recruit thinks of a new scoreboard, or how opposing teams will have to deal with weather elements as opposed to the predictable confines of the Dome. Rather, TCF Bank Stadium will change not only the face of the football program forever, but the entire athletic department will never be the same. TCF Bank Stadium will serve as the new center of campus, a new foundation for alumni interaction and school and community spirit will be fostered. Thousands of U graduates will leave school with new memories forged ON CAMPUS, and generations of orphaned U alum will gravitate back to relive the days of Memorial Stadium and develop new memories at TCF Bank Stadium.

The staff at GopherHole has spent countless hours over the summer capturing the impact that TCF Bank Stadium will have, and we have developed an in-depth series called “TCF Bank Stadium – Changing Gopher Athletics Forever.” Starting on August 13, GopherHole will publish at least one article per day examining the many facets that TCF Bank Stadium brings to the athletic department as well as articles getting you ready for the season. This in-depth series will feature articles and interviews with:

- former Gopher coaches and players

- interviews with school administrators

- an interview with an AD at a BCS school who understands the impact of a new stadium

- interviews with other areas of Gopher athletics including the band, marketing, etc.

These interviews and stories have been a labor of love in an examination of how the football program and athletic department have gotten to this point, and the endless possibilities that the future holds.

As has always been our commitment, GopherHole’s entire “TCF Bank Stadium – Changing Gopher Athletics Forever” series of articles and interviews will be free. We hope you enjoy these articles and interviews as it is clearly our most comprehensive series to date. We are grateful to the growing and increasingly passionate GopherHole community and hope that these communities continue to build the Gopher fan base.

Sincerely,

GopherHole Staff – Nadine Babu, Cory Doffing, Rob Litt, Jake Ricker, Nick Walsh and Darren Wolfson

If you talk the talk, you better.......
No other outlet, no other pledge, no other coverage.

Can you hear me Maxie?
And you over at Learfield, what in the ..... do you really do?

I cannot wait for the coverage that should be in the mainstream, but they only talk about coverage.

gopherhole staff - you guys really are "top notch". thank you for all of your hard work and committment to the gophers!

why do i keep getting the feeling that the guys that run this board, as well as the fans that post on here, are the only people really, truly, excited for the new stadium? maybe it's because the only excitement i read/see is here...and now that will be the same with the covereage for the next few weeks.

i am pumped, so thanks for doin this.

Article 11 - an interview with Big Ten Network president, Mark Silverman:

i know this will sound kind of nerdy, but you should ask mark silverman why the U of M appears to be the only Big Ten school who does not have have a campus programming slot on BTN. not sure if that is something each school needs to "opt" into on their own or what, but it is a little annoying that the U is the only conference memeber not showing off their top notch academic/arts/cultural side as well as athletics on the BTN.

maybe i am missing something??
