As you may know, GopherHole's annual donation drive is in full effect. We are are breaking records everyday, and are getting more and more posters and traffic. We've added more writers, more articles, more bandwidth, updated our page...and if you like the work we've put into making GH a better site for our readers, please make a donation! We can't keep this site going without your help.

We know times are tough, and any donation helps, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or if you really want to donate more, we'll take it!

I think it would help get donations if you break down the costs of this forum. Tangible and honest is good.

I would seriously consider donating to this site with Doogie on board, your donations will go to putting some $$$ in someone's pocket who clearly has something against the team we love so much. I was all set to silently donate after the Wisconsin gave as part of the donation "drive" but am so disgusted that the ex-KFAN puke is on this board and would be benefiting from the donation that I will no longer be giving a dime (until changes are made).

Sonny - first of all, let me me say - thank you for reading and posting on GopherHole, and for considering a donation. Second, I would like to point out the fact that yes, Darren Wolfson is on our staff. He has done a number of very good pieces and contributed a lot, and up until this point, the only one that people really thought was negative, was the media reaction to the Gophers...which I would like to point out, was just getting information from other journalists, not his opinion at all.

Please note that the issue that you had with the piece today, was written by Doogie, but it was not a piece posted on GopherHole as one of our articles. We did that for a reason, we wanted to keep the focus on Axe week - and this great rivalry. Since we are all volunteers, that means that all of our writers have other jobs - and it's not our job to censor what Doogie writes on another website. It was linked on here, just like Reusse's articles always are. Don't get me wrong, we brought Doogie onboard and encouraged him to share his views and opinions, and I have liked his articles very much - but this was one piece we wanted to pass on.

If your issue is that you want to donate to something positive, how about the fact that we produced 30+ articles in 30 days about the stadium, all trying to gain excitement for the team and The Bank. Do you think that's an easy feat for a group of volunteers? It wasn't - it took months of coordination, time, planning, and execution.

I guess it just personally upsets me to see a loyal poster like you take back your support of GopherHole, the thousands of articles we've written, and the board we work so hard to keep up because of a piece written on the Star Tribune site. We value all of our members, and that just hurts to hear after putting countless hours into this website so you, and all of our other posters have a community to talk about the happenings in Gopher Nation.

That was stupid of me to take my disliking of Doogie out on the Board. I would still love to see him go, because I have a natural hatred for anyone who goes out of their way to discourage progress of the program, but I should not have done that. I would like to reiterate I think Doogie needs to be placed on somekind of probation, the main goal of this Board should be to advance Gopher athletics (which I know, GL, you more than anyone feels the same way), leave it up to Fat Pat to play Devils Advocate, not a writer on GH.


I will still be donating after the game, because its the right thing to do, and you guys do a great service to Gopher fans, the amount all depends on how much money I make off my Badger co-workers, God they are intolerable.
 



I would like to thank everyone who makes the gopherhole possible. I always enjoy coming on here and reading the articles as well as throwing in my $.02 on a topic. You guys do a fantastic job. Thanks!

That's very big of you, Sonny - and it is greatly appreciated! We all love the Gophers here...or we wouldn't waste so much time on this message board! And I certainly hope you suck those Badger work fans dry!!!
