Gopher portal visits and signings

Gassed up to think we could have 10+ combinations of legit pass rushing threats on the DL at any given point in time. LB/DB looks solidified. On the O I like the OT we got but 1 more would be nice. Otherwise I think we’re set every at every other position.

Except for TE/iDL. Yet these are the two spots we seem to have the least traction on. I like the guys we have coming up at both spots but I’d much rather take a solid TE/DT than another WR or OL even really. What’s the hold up there?
Refresh Twitter and it shows two new DT offer visits

USAF and The Deliberate Stranger should have their own TV show called The Odd Couple.
Don't get why more people don't just have them on their ignore list....but I do find it amusing that apparently there is an argument going on in this thread that I have been blissfully unaware of :)

I am a Houston Texans season ticket holder. They have the best D in the NFL. They rotate 4 DEs and 4 DLs all game long to keep legs fresh. We have Will anderson and Danielle Hunter and we still rotate DEs to keep guys fresh. By the 2nd half, the OL is worn out and the defense feasts.

I love having 4 good DEs to rotate.

There's an NFL team in Houston? I thought they left for Nashville. 🤔😏

I think they need at least 1 more starting caliber DT out of the portal to pull that off.

Still the Vikings have a better defense especially down the stretch. Houston plays in a weak division. Minnesota shut down the Lions offense twice.

alAnyways I agree with keeping D line fresh and hope Gophers continue to do it.

I blissfully had no clue.

I've never put anyone on ignore on any platform, ever.

I may judge someone to be dishonest or biased or motivated by some particular agenda or just an a$$hole...

But why would I care?

It's the internet!

Live and let live, and enjoy the discussion/banter/bickering.

I'm that way with most but there are a handful of posters that take things too far or make it personal so having them on ignore makes the forums much more fun to visit.

Let me say that I think TJ Bush is a very good player and a great "get" in the portal. I'm happy to have him on the team. But am I the only one a little confused by this? The Gophers already have Smith, Menz and Howard back as DE's. Very good core. Now we add Bush as a one-and-done.

I mean, he seems like a good get. I just never thought DE would be a position of need unless you went after a guy with multiple years. Getting a one and done guy for that spot was not on my portal bingo card.
There were a few games this year where Anthony Smith did not get a breather. Also he is capable of moving inside especially on passing downs.

Ha!

I played against him at SLP Lifetime (I think?) years ago. He was a shockingly athletic massive human being.
That is technically Fridley. I also played basketball against him post-NFL career. It was futile for me to try to guard him.

I went one night after I worked out late and so just joined a random team to get my cardio in. We tried out the 2-3 zone because of him. It worked about as well as you can imagine.

I’ve only put a couple posters on ignore, but it was a necessity. I visit this forum every day. I come for news, insight, enthusiasm, debate, etc. I have no trouble sifting through differing opinions (even those who brutalize mine) but don’t tolerate the few posters who find it their mission to pick fights or play message board guru. Threads that start out with interesting topics get derailed by this type of poster who are posers and dick-measurers. When you’re trying to follow a thread and it gets derailed with four pages of “you said…”, “I did not, you said…” it’s time to use the ignore function.

The Vikings do the same thing. So does Seattle. PJ has done it his entire time here. This is more common than not.
