Gopher portal visits and signings

If a coach can accept a job at a school in the same conference when his current team is preparing for the CFP, a player should be able to transfer to a different team for a better opportunity. Simple as that
it is kind of the same, but a coach has a buyout the new school has to pay the old school. If players had buyouts, there would not be as much movement as there is now. The players right now have all everything in their favor.

Transfer fees like soccer would help even things out.

Of course the major difference is that only a small handful of coaches actually move from one place to another each year by choice whereas you have thousands of players going into the portal and some of them 3 or 4 times over the course of their college career.

D line (DT in particular), corner, then o line (although less of a priority than DT). Maybe a LB (I think Karmo, Barron and Kingsbury are ok though) and an impact WR (maybe one of the younger bigger guys that are coming out of HS) would make it a complete offseason.

This sounds a little dramatic, no?

Just look at the numbers. How many coaches are on a team? 10-20? How many players? 100-ish. 10:1 is gonna slant things a bit

There's gonna be more player movement. But in our little bubble we've seen coaches move around quickly...bye Hetherman, hello Mo. Fans pay more attention to the big names but there's a lot of movement of position, assistant coaches that go under the radar.

Isn’t every transfer a bidding war nowadays? They better win more than that if they want to fill out the roster.
There are 4700 guys in the portal...that's 47 guys for 100 teams. Figure the numbers however...certainly guys available. Many likely won't have teams.

My point is that the Gophers won’t be getting anyone that doesn’t have multiple offers or at least there will be very rare situations where they don’t.

Sorry I’m sure this has been asked somewhere, but does UND have anyone worthwhile who would want to follow Fruechte?
