Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.
I love how they swing for the fences
Right, I don’t really care where they come from as long as they were productive. No spot starters/backups from bad P4 teams (and below obviously).Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2
Amen. You get your talent wherever you can.Ole Miss started a QB last night that spent 4 years in D2
Max Brosmer, Jack Gibbens were at smaller level schools. I'm not sure what your expectations are here. Portal season is not over yet and maybe Minnesota wants to develop their own talent and not rely on the portal? So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.

There's two strategies a program can use with limited NIL IMO. Try to get a bunch of solid but not great transfers. Or try to bring in 3-5 higher dollar, very impactful transfers and fill the rest of the spots with low cost role players. The 2nd option is the better one IMO, especially if you're able to keep the majority of your impact players from the previous year. So, so far I see 3 d2 guys, one FCS guy and one dude who couldn’t see the field on a ratty MSU squad.

I’d think they have the ability to get 6-10 higher dollar transfers. There's two strategies a program can use with limited NIL IMO. Try to get a bunch of solid but not great transfers. The portal just opened up, I think we gotta let it play out a bit first.
