Gopher Great Darrell Thompson Relishes a Return to Campus

For a program that has produced a stable of great running backs, few match up to one of the greatest – Darrell Thompson. The only RB in Gopher history to rush for more than 4,000 yards (he ran for 4,654 yards), Thompson’s name is all over the Gopher record books. And despite providing a lifetime of highlights inside the Dome, Thompson is ecstatic that the program is returning on campus – where it belongs. In its ongoing “TCF Bank Stadium – Changing Gopher Athletics Forever” series, GopherHole spoke with Thompson about the impact of the new stadium and what he’s looking forward to most.
