Yeah, I thought that too. Although for some reason I did not notice the follow of Alexis when I looked the other day.Alot of these follows were from when these players were in hs so its tough to know if theres still interest or not. Theres no chance Pratt is an option now.
Grothaus would be a good puckup. I watched a lot of her this year and she’s very consistent. It may not mean anything, but players I noticed that Carly or Lindsay are following on Twitter (in addition to Rachel Hakes):
Emma Grothaus (6-3 SR F, Mahtomedi, AAU with North Tartan, Lehigh)
Alexis Pratt (5-5 FR G, Stillwater, AAU with MN Fury, Nebraska Omaha)
Kennedy Brown (6-6 SO F, Derby, KS, Oregon State)
Tomi Taiwo (5-10 SR G, Carmel, IN, Iowa)
Caitlyn Harper (6-1 RS SO, F, Hartland, WI, California Baptist)
Sydney Parrish (6-2 SO) G, Fishers, IN, Oregon)
Anaya Peoples (5-10 JR G, Danville, IL Notre Dame)
Parrish is Indiana-bound.It may not mean anything, but players I noticed that Carly or Lindsay are following on Twitter (in addition to Rachel Hakes):

If I was to rank these I would go this way:Parrish is Indiana-bound.
Will this trend work for or against the Gophers?
I thought it would be interesting to put grades on these players on a scale of 1-5, and see how things look then. Interested if there would be a consensus. Here’s a list of incoming transfers during the Whalen and Stollings eras (I think I got them all). Home comers outnumber adventurers. However, Bell is the only instate talent that matches Kelly, Winters and Sissoko. So...thus far the the trend works against us; but we will probably have five or more new data points this season.
I threw in the community college signees for fun-they’ve been useful but not game changers.

Thanks for the correction, I corrected my rankings to.I just noticed that I forgot Sue Key (who disappeared early). And Palma Kaposi was also a transfer from the University of Pec. I've added them to the list.
I think Ragnor's basketball scale rankings are good. I don't have any opinion on the chemistry rankings.

So far, only Caitlyn Harper has done a visit (this weekend) from this list.If I was to rank these I would go this way:
Kennedy Brown
Piath Gabriel
Emma Grothaus
Sydney Parrish
Caitlyn Harper
Anaya Peoples
Tomi Taiwo
Harper looks like a solid option to me, not real athletic but seems to have a solid skillset, only 30% from 3 this year but 38% last year. Believe she'd have 2 years left as well. I know the WAC is pretty weak but she was the player of the year in the conference. So far, only Caitlyn Harper has done a visit (this weekend) from this list.
I decided I had to look up to see what happened to Sue Key.
She landed at Division II Southern Arkanas University (Mascot are the Mule Riders) and had a nice senior year there. Glad it appears to have worked out for her.

Shortly after Thanksgiving in 1912, young men from the football team of the Third District Agricultural School (TDAS) rode mules to Coach George Ruford Turrentine’s home north of the campus at Magnolia, Arkansas. In that year’s final game, they had played a scoreless tie game with Fordyce High School at TDAS on “Turkey Day,” November 28, and they wanted to talk over the season with the coach. It was not unusual for young men in the rural South to ride mules; as the animal used most often in Southern agriculture, they were easily available. In the school’s early years, football teams may have ridden mules occasionally to reach McNeil, five miles north of TDAS. It was there that they caught the Cotton Belt train to away games. There were only four automobiles in Columbia County in 1912 and no paved roads. Muddy roads in flooding weather conditions made travel difficult, even by wagon. Riding a mule was a more reliable means of transportation.
A few days after the Fordyce game, Coach Turrentine invited the players to dinner at his home, also located on the road to McNeil. As the riders dismounted in his yard, Turrentine walked onto his porch and shouted a greeting, “My Mule Riders!” This was the first known occasion when the name Muleriders was used for the football team. Over time, it became more than the team’s name. Among all the nation’s institutions of higher education, the name has been uniquely associated with the school established in 1909. Over the next century, only TDAS and its three successor institutions—Magnolia A&M College, Southern State College, and Southern Arkansas University—embraced Muleriders as a symbol for athletic teams, mascots, students, and alumni.
certainly has a knack for scoring. Doesn't appear very athletic but she is not afraid to go to the basket and comfortable with some pressure. I have to say, she would be at least a solid backup given her body of work and the success she had against the 2 major conference teams they played this year. She only averages just under 1 three point attempt/game so that is probably what accounts for the difference in last year vs. this year for her 3s. She clearly has improved in the 3s from year 1 and the coach must have some confidence in her to take those shots.Caitlyn Harper highlights
I like that she has improved every year in almost every category with more playing time.Carly Krsul is entering the transfer portal.

18. Greta Kampschroder, sophomore guard, Oregon State
The former McDonald’s All-American hasn’t found the kind of success at Oregon State that was expected. With three more seasons to play, she has an opportunity to develop elsewhere after a high school career in which she averaged 17.8 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior. At Oregon State this season, Kampschroeder started 25 games and averaged 5.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. At 6-foot, she has good size at the guard position and as a 33 percent 3-point shooter, she can stretch a floor. Could the Illinois native end up closer to home on a Big Ten roster that needs depth at the guard position?
100% on Carr. Taylor Brown is athletic and gives good effort, but she is not going to score much, maybe 5 points per game in the Big Ten. The Gophers should take Grothaus and Ranke, if possible.Grothaus would be a good puckup. I watched a lot of her this year and she’s very consistent.
Pratt would not - She looked OK on a low level mid-major team. But not good.
Rachel Hakes was on my fantasy team this year, and I cut her midway through the year because she could not produce stats. However, she did a lot of the stuff that doesn’t show up in the stats.
Crissy Carr could be a good addition. Don’t like her personally, but on the floor she makes things happen. However, she is a little “me-first” rather than a creator for others.
Olivia Lane - No Way!!!! Moderate talent, too emotional (crying) on the floor. OK for a mid-major player, but not P5 material.
Ranke hasnt played in year and a half and is coming off a real serious back injury where her career was thought to be over. Dont think Id take her100% on Carr. Good point, but if her career was over, why she would go into the portal?Ranke hasnt played in year and a half and is coming off a real serious back injury where her career was thought to be over. Dont think Id take her
In order to free up scholarship?Good point, but if her career was over, why she would go into the portal?
At the time it was thought to be career ending but she must think shes healthy enough to play again. Seems like a big risk to take for us but I guess we do have a bunch of schollies to use.Good point, but if her career was over, why she would go into the portal?
