I think the game played out well for the start of the tournament. We didn't play so well to get complacent, we didn't give them a lot of room for hope.
 


If mav misses that last three I hit the score on the nose.

All in all, good game. Now to beat the same team twice in 4 days. Ugh.

Solid performance and got the all important win. Reffing seemed absolutely horrible today and the oldest guy on the crew was by far the worst and maybe should consider retirement. Looking ahead to the BTT I like our advantage inside and it seems like when Penn State gets done their whole offensive sets just go out the window and Newbill and Frazier are just gonna try to go 1-on-1 almost everytime down the floor. Now hopefully Wisconsin can go into an electric environment and beat Nebraska.

I had some family commitments today and could only watch the game in bursts.

1) Turned the game on and we were up 23-3. PSU goes on a run.
2) Turned the game on into the 2nd half and we were up like 25 or 26.. PSU goes on a run.

Those were on me. Sorry.
 


Very good result overall, but I could of dealt without the anxiety the Gophers caused me midway through the second half. Very nice to see Austin Hollins start the game strong and give us very strong play all night long. I really don't like having to play this PSU team again so quickly after putting a beating on them. The good news is they decided to try to get back in the game by showing the Gophers everything they had on the defensive end, so their shouldn't be anything that catches Minnesota by surprise in the tournament.

I'll say it here and probably repeat it a lot this week, but the Gophers deserve to be in the tournament if they win one more game. You can't tell me that the 6th place team in that A10 is more deserving than Minnesota or that Gonzaga/Pitt who've beaten nobody of note all year deserve it more. As of this minute it makes ZERO sense that Jerry Palm has Iowa in an 8/9 game and Minnesota in the first four out. Look at the resumes and tell me how you find a dozen or so teams between them.
