Three Nebraska moments
One: Britt Prince arrives
If you’ve been living in a corn husk, here’s a few highlights of the highly rated 5’11” freshman guard who is averaging 14.1 points and 2,7 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Two: Natalie Potts departs
Potts’ 22 points and 7 rebound in 23 minutes performance against South Dakota helped move the Huskers to 4-0. Unfortunately, 10 minutes into their next win versus North Alabama, last season’s Big Ten Freshman of the Year suffered a season-ending knee injury.
The 6’2” sophomore forward was averaging 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds in 21 minutes per game. Filling the gap left by Potts probably means more minutes for 6’3” senior center
Alexis Markowski who is averaging 14.5 points and 8.3 rebounds in 23 minutes.
Three: Creighton turns Nebraska blue (again)
Not surprisingly, following Potts’ injury, Nebraska dropped their next outing on the road at rival Creighton 74-80. It was those pesky three pointers. The Huskers were 5-17 from behind the arc while the Blue Jays were 13-29.
“It’s really not a secret,” Nebraska head coach Amy Willams said. “It came down to 3-point shooting. And particularly there in the fourth quarter. I thought we did everything we wanted to do. We hit 50 points in the paint. We did what we needed to do there, but they hit 13 3s and we hit five.”
It was the Blue Jays third straight win over Nebraska.

Last season’s meetings
Minnesota and Nebraska split two games last season. The first at Williams Arena was memorable because
Amaya Battle gunned in a clutch three with 9 seconds remaining allowing Gopher fans to exhale on the way to a 62-58 victory.
The return match in Lincoln, a month later, was post Mara Braun injury and resulted in a 51-70 Gopher loss. One encouraging trend from last season’s two outings was
Mallory Heyer producing 16 points 7 rebounds in 36 minutes in game 1 and 15 points 10 rebounds in 39 minutes in game 2. We’re going to need that sort of production this Sunday.
The Husker schedule
Nebraska opened with five wins: Omaha 88-48, SLU 78-68, Southern 84-58, South Dakota 113-70 and North Alabama 85-48. Then came the loss at Creighton 74-80 before two more wins Kansas City 84-38 and Lindenwood 69-48.
