Fleck has dinner with country music star and her husband

Distantly reminds me of the old small town newspaper social stories that would report on families having dinner together.
That stuff really happened. I would go home to visit my parents and my grandparents. In next weeks paper there would be a paragraph in the local paper mentioning us having lunch with grandma and what we had to eat. The locals really enjoyed reading about that stuff.

Yep, same here. As if everyone in town didn't already know what everyone else did :D

Social media for the age of print.

Honestly, pretty cool.

Whether it’s for show or not, he does a good job of staying connected to alumni.

lol at the wording choice on the thread title..... :)

Her husband had one hell of a Gopher career and a solid pro one as well. Good to see Fleck staying connected to alums, even those that were before his time in Minnesota.

Not as interesting as the police blotter, who got popped for speeding and DWI.

You bet! We also had a lady from our town that would read the same type of news on the local radio station. She would just call people randomly and ask what they've been up to and if they had any "news". My mom would gladly share anything.

Decker is one of my all time favorite Gophers. I have often wondered what he could have accomplished in the current era. As it was, he was probably the biggest reason I could endure the Brewster era.

He was one of the few guys I have ever seen that could take over a game from the split out wide receiver position.

That Cal game was one of two, maybe three losses that still felt fun for me in the new stadium years and he was a one man show that day.

This is amazing.

A bygone era.

Go Gophers!!
