I'll post Power 5 non-conference schedules here as they become complete. Schedules aren't considered complete until first-round bracketed tournament opponents are known.

I'm also including Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, and San Diego State, non- Power 5 programs that regularly make the NCAA either as an at-large or an automatic qualifier.

First out of the gate is Creighton:

Great schedule. Only 1 200+ team, and that was to give Nelson a homecoming game. Out of their 6 buy games, I can see 5 of them winning their conference.

Yep, and extra credit for playing 3 true road games, as well as the game @ UND. Those are rarities for major conference teams. I like coaches with guts. Bruce Pearl does that, as well.

The event that Rutgers is in over Thanksgiving gives $1m in NIL to each participating school. It also has the possibility of conference foes meeting as the B10 and SEC each have 2 teams in it.

Anticipating Eeyore There Pilgrim caring enough to post that he doesn't care...

After the season is over, I’ll follow up with “re-rankings” of these 82 non-conference schedules using the post-Selection Sunday NET rankings. Will give us a chance to see how the rankings matched up vs. the preseason. Obviously there will be more data, as the non-conference schedules then will include opponents beyond the first round of a tournament.

Wow EIGHT games against projected 250+ competition. They're pretty much guaranteed to have an NCSOS in the 300's. If they don't go undefeated, they'll need 12 B1G wins to put themselves in position for an at large bid.

They do have Marquette, Villanova, and Syracuse, though. Those are decent tests and better in quantity and quality of P5s than what we know about MN's noncon. I don't think the average NCSOS is as important as getting a couple wins out of those 3. Do that, then 10 wins in conference might be good enough, depending on who they beat to get there.

My general guideline (for major conference teams that play 11 non-con games) is 5 or 6 of those need to be decent opponents. I agree those 3 are fine, but the rest, not so much.

Power 5 teams who have released non-conference schedule, but still waiting on their 1st-round bracketed tournament opponent:

Clemson (Sunshine Slam)
Colorado (Maui Invitational)
Indiana (Battle 4 Atlantis)
Iowa State (Maui Invitational)
Louisville (Battle 4 Atlantis)
Nebraska (Diamond Head Classic)
North Carolina (Maui Invitational)
Providence (Battle 4 Atlantis)
Saint John's (Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas)
Texas (Legends Classic)
Virginia (Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas)
Wake Forest (ESPN Events Invitational)
West Virginia (Battle 4 Atlantis)

Oh yeah those are good games for sure, but they'll need to go 2-1 in them to put themselves in good shape IMO. If you're a bubble team with a NCSOS in the 300's that typically doesn't bode well for selection. Out of those 3, I think Syracuse will take a pretty nice leap, but Marquette will likely take a step back, and Nova, I'd guess, probably about the same as last year.
