Ranking college football's top 10 returning OL for 2020
Pro Football Focus rates the 10 best returning college football offensive linemen (plus one sleeper), and the list starts with Penei Sewell.
www.espn.com
Sleeper: C John Michael Schmitz, Minnesota Golden Gophers
He didn't see a whole lot of time on the college field until this past season, but Schmitz dominated on his 452 snaps in 2019. The Minnesota center ended up producing a WAA total that ranked seventh at the position, and everyone ahead of him played nearly double the number of snaps.
Schmitz produced an 83.9 PFF overall grade that ranked third in the FBS, and he was one of five centers who earned grades above 78.0 in both pass protection and as a run-blocker. It's up in the air whether he'll get the starting nod in 2020, but he certainly proved he could handle it with his 2019 campaign.
