ESPN Gameday going to NDSU next week

Serious? Honestly, it would be an incredible atmosphere.

They will get stuck in the cities and end up finally doing Gameday from TCF!

It's tough to make clever signs for Gameday when you can't read or write..

I like that ESPN is doing something different and this is awesome for NDSU. However, it's pretty pathetic for Gopher fans that Gameday ends up in Fargo before the Twin Cities.

Shut your pie-hole Delany. We're going to keep scheduling FCS schools.

I can't stand the NDSU fans that visited TCF, but this absolutely awesome for that program. I'm very envious.

I'd like to say something good about this.........................................

NDSU and Fargo are great places. It's the people there that suck.

It's your big chance to get your mug on national TV Doc. Can you still find your way to Fargo?

I think this is awesome. I hated getting smoked by them as much as the next guy, but this is pretty cool that ESPN is doing this. They're obviously building (built) an incredible FCS program, so it'll be cool to see.

They're building that "incredible FCS program" largely on the backs of "leftover" (largely, rural) Minnesota kids that don't get looks from Minnesota, much less say other big schools. To think Eric Decker easily could have ended up there as well, but Mason took a chance on him.

NDSU is going after another "rural" -- but not really -- athlete from Owatonna named Ty Sullivan. The kid is an absolute beast. Not very tall at 6-flat, but he's fast (4.67 is my GUESS and rumor speed). He's also got great hands and hits the weights. Extremely well-built and tough to bring down.

Lets be honest... they're a more interesting story then a lot of schools at the moment...

This is cool for Fargo. While it is sad that they got one before Minneapolis, it is what it is. There are a lot of other BCS schools that haven't hosted it either.

I wonder why they decided to go next week. Must have been a slow week for marquee matchups because NDSU is playing Delaware state. NDSU should win by 50. I would have liked to see them bring game day in for USD or Northern Iowa.

Pretty much the conclusion they came to on KFAN on the Gophers post game show...

Why shouldn't ESPN go there? They can talk about Tebow, LeBron and Tiger just about anywhere.

That's not really true. If you look at their roster they actually don't have that many rural Minnesota kids. Their kids mostly come from the same places ours do (Twin Cities, Chicago, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas).

I'm not as bitter as I was about NDSU because I think Kill would have recuited a lot of the kids that dumbsh$t Brewster didn't. I think Vraa, Olson, Turner, Jirik, etc would all be Gophers if now if Kill was our coach when they were being recruited. I watched the NDSU game against K-State and I'm not sure which positions of our are better than theirs? Their QB, RB, WR, OL, LB as a group are better than the Gophers and while I think that our DBs are overall better they have the best of the bunch in Williams (who we can't bitch about not coming here because he couldn't get into the U).

When I think of North Dakota State I think of all of their fans who came over to this board after they beat us to taunt us about it. The little experience I have had with the Sioux fans on this board has shown them to be ungracious and cocky, and this will only serve to further inflate their egos.
