I'm really liking the kid from Nebraska.

That is all.

He has played very well today having to take over the paint for Trevor and Ralph. Nice job tonight!

A healthy Sampson or not, Eliason needs to get a significant amount of playing time. The team's level of play when he is in the game is much higher than when he is not. Doing a lot of nice things.

Really quite excited to see Eliason over the next several years. Playing like a champ tonight, been an animal on the defensive end.

One other thing, when Eliason is involved on the offensive end, good things are happening, the kid can really pass.

Ellison is playing great. This may be premature, but I'd take him over Colton.

Anyone know how many minutes he's been in? Other than the first half foul trouble he hasn't really been out.

He's already a better post player than Sampson.

Damn....Virginia Tech is hitting their 3's. That Erik Green guy is killing us.

Agree on Eliason. Would like him be a little more aggressive on rebounds. But it might have been the lack of depth behind him and him knowing he has to stay on the floor. He should be a great four year player.

EE played within himself and did not try and do too much. Nice job.

EE needs to quit complaining to the refs. But, man, he is a lot more skilled than I thought. Great passer, good vision, great position defense.

That kid played his butt off tonight! I'm excited to see this kid contribute and continue to develop this season. He will give us a chance if he can keep this up.

How often did he complain? You mean when he got smacked in the face?

Happy that Eliason has his own thread though not surprised since Bob Knight did a nice job of highlighting his play tonight. What I like about Elliot is that even though he is not nearly as quick as Ralph Sampson III, his reaction time is much better. I had noticed Eliason's passing in previous games, but tonight it seemed like he was less nervous when he had the ball in his hands with a chance to score. The next step will be for him to start dunking some of those opportunities inside. We saw some nice post defense, nice passes, some smart basketball plays (such as rolling to the rim on that trap on Julian late), and some nice finishes.

Does Double E remind anyone else of a more skilled version of Jeff Hagen?

Agreed. Eliason isn't exactly quick but he does a good job of rotating on defense and getting there on time.

What I liked was that he appeared to be taking control of the court by directing his teammates and putting people in place on out of bounds plays. Very nice for a young player.

What I liked the most about Double E tonight was the leadership skills he displayed on the court tonight. He was vocal, supportive of his teammates, and emotional in a positive way. NE is going to be sorry they let this kid get out of state. Great job, EE!

I see a quicker, more mobile and agile Jeff Hagen. Really liked what I saw on the defensive end from him tonight, both playing his man on the post and not giving anything up to the switches on the perimeter players.

EE was player of the game

Love his energy and hustle. He also plays smart basketball, especially defensively. Unlike a certain someone who transferred at the end of last year.

Like to see EE develop some post skills and a left hand. Could be our guy down low for a few years.

EE's line

31 minutes, 8 Points (4-8) 7 rebounds, 2 Blocks, 0 Turnovers.

To me, considering how much he handled the ball, the most impressive part of his game tonight was the lack of a turnover. He appears to have a very good feel for the game and the ability to play smart and within himself.

Agreed. Now we can see why Tubby liked him so much. I think he played the entire second half and he did not look tired.

Not only that, he had 2 fouls in the 1st half, and never did get his 3rd. That is playing the game smart.

Eliason got two fouls mid first half and sat when they brought in Ingram. He came back and played good defense and avoided fouls. That helped a ton, as we needed him on the floor.

Don looks like we think alike and posted the same thing at the same time. Should I be nervous to think like Dr. Don?
