You & I & nobody else saw a photo of Tubby looking sad when going to Lubbock.

Hawkins is letting us know that he'd prefer to play for Coach Johnson if things were even close to equal.
 


Plenty of PG that can be as good or better than him. Yes he exciting to watch at some, but we really could use a PG that can score more when needed too.

Look, you're going to have to come to terms with the environmental factors here. The Gophers can't buy all of these players you want. They don't have the money. Furthermore, if you become too invested in all these players you look up, you're going to be very frustrated every offseason. Take what comes and hope for the best. As long as they recruit capable players, it doesn't matter if they're not the ones you were hoping for.

GopherCrew thinking this is all about money and not about winning is comedy. Especially after Texas Tech just lost their best player/guard to Creighton.

Go play for a real coach who brought in 8 new players in his first season last year, yet still tied for 3rd in the toughest conference in college basketball, and made the NCAA Tournament.

Or he could stay here and play for a coach where some people think it's some sort of accomplishment to finish tied for the last weakling Wednesday spot in his 3rd year, after two last place finishes in a row.

Hawkins gets paid similarly and will have a better chance to win in Texas. Not a difficult choice.

I'm sure Mr. Hawkins is going to hate having to give up visits to the Guthrie and watching opera at the Walker. He's stucking playing sports in a town where the college sports are the biggest show in town. He's going to really hate having to just party and hang out with college chicks.

Poor guy.

He definitely saved on income tax in Texas.

But thinking Texas Tech, who lost their best player, and recruits about the same as the Gophers has significantly more money than us is laughable.

They do know how to hire better coaches and win more than us, that's for sure.
