Gil Brandt was VP of Player Personnel for Dallas from 1960-1988 and responsible for drafting the incredible talent they had - he preceded Bill Polihan as having that gravitas league wide.


As he invented many of the processes used in modern player evaluations, including psychological tests and how scouts evaluated players, going to small colleges and helping set up the NFL Combine - he is a true innovator.

He is also in the NFL HOF. Pat Summerall was a buddy and always gave Gil a shout-out during a broadcast.
