Do you still think the OC should be fired? Genuine question.
No. Seems like things are improving, run game was slightly concerning early in the Maryland game but improved. Passing game lately has been as good as I can remember. Brosmer seems to play better in a faster tempo offense and is getting more time to throw.

Remaining team defenses on our schedule are currently ranked 3rd(PSU), 8th (WI), 10th (Ill), and 15th (Rutgers). Should be a fun remainder of the season.

Gophers's offense is currently ranked 8th in ppg. I think that's pretty good for us tbh.

Rough day for Harbaugh, against one of the worst defenses in the B1G.

An average O line would have the gophers undefeated. It has been abysmal all season and last year too.

Yeah, Harbaugh has shown me this year that he's at least competent when the QB can perform. O line has been abysmal these past 2 seasons and it's lost us a lot of games. If our O line performs we would've won UNC, Michigan, and Today at the very least. I line coach needs to be let go

Can't blame Harbaugh for the oline. He's called some great games and if we had better blocking today it'd probably have been a different story. I'd love to see some more quick hitters to the outside like Indiana is doing against Michigan right now

Also recruited OL to run a totally different offense

Or harbaugh realized we cannot only run inside and outside zone. Keep harbaugh, i didnt think play calling was the biggest issue today. We lost because our guys didnt make plays

No. He needs to fire his offensive line coach and whoever recruits the offensive line, needs to have a ridiculously good recruiting season. Our offensive line is horrible

I don’t think you’re disagreeing with me.
3 of the gophers 5 OL might be in the bottom 5 of the 90 starting big ten OL

You may not but I would. The OC needs to be held accountable for all parts of the offense imo.

I didn’t want Harbaugh
I don’t think he did a good job today.

I’m all in on a new OC

But today was more of a recruiting problem than anything. WR couldn’t create seperation or win 1 on 1 battles. OL got their ass kicked.

I’m all in to bring in an offensive genius as OC. But I don’t think today was on OC as much as talent. We are average. So we are playing 50/50 games against other average teams

Harbaugh, imo, isn't the most glaring issue after watching the four and a half games leading up to this one. You have coaches assigned to specific components of the offense and defense for a reason. Harbaugh calls the plays, the units on the offense need to execute this plays. Callahan should be held the most accountable if anything. That being said, the line has played well enough the past few games. We lost a road game in the big ten, it happens. Suit up for the next one and try for eight wins.

No, it isn’t
You recruit guys with different skill sets
I don’t think you know anything about OL play and this isn’t Eslinger and Setterstrom out running interference for 21 and 22 It’s basically the same offense since PJ has been here re run plays. We just suck complete ass at the OL position right now; with the guys we are playing I think we have some talent coming up.

Max Brosmar is making this offense look better than it is. Just wait till next season. I keep saying, until Fleck finds a legit OC this team will be mediocre. Or until the current OC develops into a legit OC. They simply got outcoached today. Rutgers was a wounded animal, lost 4 in a row, coming off a bye week. Let’s see how MN does against PSU and WI. If they lay 2 eggs, it’s not a very good season imo, even though I thought they’d finish 5-7 after the USC game.

Offensive line was horrid, I would take Rutgers receivers over ours any day. Nice size, we have nice size at TE but most receivers seem to be under or near 6’.

This is flat out untrue
Do you even watch the game?

You’re either a liar or an idiot and I’m done talking football with you

We don’t always agree but we do on this. I like the offense this year. I have liked it since the Iowa game.

The problem with this year is a very bad center.

I do think there is a giant risk that the scheme we’re running is going to be way too hard for our freshman QB next year.

It’s mostly (but not always) working with a guy that can get to his fifth read (when protection holds up). What does Minnesota do if they have someone like Athan playing QB next year?

He can’t process quickly enough to make this offense work. Most college QBs can’t.

He is going to talk about how he played defensive line as justification for his horrible take.

Of course you’re right, our scheme is a bit different now than it was previously.

I doubt Callahan has changed. He was the same OL coach when we pounded the rock with authority and owned the LOS.

Herein lies the problem. We recruited zone running game type OL. Pass blocking, as your first few steps are backwards and your head is swiveling to see gap control and blitzes is WAY different than run blocking.

Our OL is good at one and terrible at the other.

If you are a DC against us, force us to pass and then bring the blitz. We have no answer for it.

OL line play isn’t rocket science and we didn’t recruit for a different scheme. Post this game you’ve got 10 or 12 of the dumbest takes of all time floating around.
