No, but he told Lou Nanne he was one of those that wanted Lucia fired. Lou responded by saying he was the one supporting Lucia.

The funny thing is, it would be breaking news if Sid wasn't confused. That could be a headline/story for the Gophers version of "The Onion".
 

Dick Vitale is correct. However, he will be up in arms if we fire Tubby. Funny how that works.
 


No one vilifies the exploitation of young athletes more than Vitale, yet there he is fawning over high school recruits on every broadcast. Biggest hypocrite in sports media.

Agreed. He talks out of both sides of his mouth all the time so that he can get as many followers as possible. On one hand, he complains about how college coaches conduct their recruiting affairs, yet lauds praise on any coach that wins, regardless of their tactics in recruiting.

I take almost everything he says with a bag of salt.
 


What he's really saying is that he's disappointed with Minnesota, not with Tubby Smith. Whatever that means.
