I looked into the cost of a Musk Ox sweater (it's wool is 8 times warmer than sheep's wool). It was in the thousands. I like being warm, but I could line my sweater with money and keep warm. Acrylic is cheap and light, but not so warm. Sheep's wool is warm, but itchy. I'm no expert on fabrics, I just like to keep warm. No $600 sweater for me, but if that $600 sweater shows up at the thrift store for $5.95, I'm all over it.
