Daniel Jackson released by the Texans

Bummer but hopefully he can find a fit somewhere else. NFL is a tough business. Jackson is a really solid receiver but he lacks great size or gamebreaking speed so it is going to be a battle for him to stay in the league.

I think you've hit on it. For a guy in Jackson's situation, you need one standout tool (usually size or speed) to make folks take full notice. Still and all, he'll likely be on a practice squad somewhere. He's a solid player who just needs to find a fit.

Tyler Cooper cut by the Packers. Nothing yet on Lindenberg. Fingers crossed he makes the Raiders' 53.

I hope the Vikings sign Daniel Jackson at least to the practice squad. Vikings need another guy that can be Brosmers go to guy in practice.

It just seems like he would be very good as the #3/4 receiver from the slot to get needed yardage. Agreed that he does not have break away speed, but a lot of successful short yardage, move the chains NFL WRs don't either.

The Vikings would do well if they signed both Jah Joyner and Daniel Jackson.

Vikings should pick him up. It’ll be good for Brosmer to have a familiar receiver when he takes over the QB1 job next months.
I think the Vikings should have all ex-Gopher players. They would win the Super Bowl every year.
