Daniel Jackson released by the Texans

Bummer but hopefully he can find a fit somewhere else. NFL is a tough business. Jackson is a really solid receiver but he lacks great size or gamebreaking speed so it is going to be a battle for him to stay in the league.

I think you've hit on it. For a guy in Jackson's situation, you need one standout tool (usually size or speed) to make folks take full notice. Still and all, he'll likely be on a practice squad somewhere. He's a solid player who just needs to find a fit.

Tyler Cooper cut by the Packers. Nothing yet on Lindenberg. Fingers crossed he makes the Raiders' 53.

It just seems like he would be very good as the #3/4 receiver from the slot to get needed yardage. Agreed that he does not have break away speed, but a lot of successful short yardage, move the chains NFL WRs don't either.

I really liked Jackson and thought he was a winning player. Hopefully he can catch on in a system that fits his skill set.

Except Bucky Irving. **** him.
Yep, Bucky was disappointing however he was just the Gophers first taste of the new reality of NIL and the Portal, which in general has been more of a plus to this point than minus for Minnesota due to Coach Fleck's ability to navigate a changing landscape.

Plus I don't think we'll mess with anyone's pre-Gopher nickname again.

I'm fine with a WR nicknamed Herky Husker if he's good and wears Maroon and Gold.
