Crowd last night ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I look forward to a day when we don't feel compelled to storm the field after beating a mediocre team.
I get it.

Nebraska fans in attendance expected to win once again. I think the kids understand this.

I have no problem with the next generation of fans thinking beating Nebraska is a big deal.

There were certainly earlier generations of Gophers fans who did believe beating Nebraska was a big deal...just that they didn't live to see it.

Worth pondering...

Meatsauce will say ‘no one was there’. Parker Sux will say he didn’t go but turned it off after 5 min.

No, I get it. I remember '83, '89, '90, etc. And beating Nebraska gives me a great feeling. Furthermore, I think I yell louder than anyone when we beat Northwestern or Purdue. But running onto the field, I think is reserved for momentous occasions - beating top 5 team, breaking a losing streak against a hated rival, that kind of thing.

I think it's kind of bush league to do it for a mediocre team that we've already beaten five times in a row. If that makes me a stuffed shirt, then I guess RememberMediocrity is right.

It makes you better than the rest of us, clearly. Fans who stormed the field last night are 'bush league' (your description); you're obviously major league, in contrast.

And a team that came into the game as 9.5 point favorites, 5-1, and ranked #25 in the nation is "mediocre" (again, your description).

You are looking down at the rest of the world from lofty, lofty heights.

I think you're being awfully sensitive, ForgotMurray.

I'm just saying it's time for Gopher fans to up our game. It's certainly time to up yours.

Mrs. Billd might be your match on yelling even for those too.

Regardless, it happened, it's done...in this case for beating the same team 6 times in a row.

Hopefully there's at least the chance for this debate to come again in the future. At least we're debating the outcome of winning a game. Certainly we all wish for more deserving ones to come. Some day, maybe...

Been thinking about how many red fans were there.

The student section holds about 10,000, I don’t think there was enough Nebraska fans to even fill half that, so I do think there were probably less than 4,000 total.
