Worst game ever...
Should have been Oregon vs Alabama.

Random thoughts from a cluttered mind:

1) Te'o getting eaten alive by NFL level talent = Raiders will take him 4th overall
2) Wouldn't it be great if, in the 2nd half, the camera showed AJ McCarron's girlfriend and Johnny Manziel was sitting by her
3) I really believe Oregon and aTm would put 40+ on Notre Dame
4) Best sign I've seen tonight: "RUDY WAS OFFSIDES"
5) Had a friend text me that Wisky plays BAMA in 2015? - If so, have fun with that

NIU deserved to be in the Orange bowl more than ND deserves to be in this one.

You're joking. I do not like ND but they beat 10 bowl teams including 2 ranked in the final BCS top 15. NIU's schedule is ranked 125th by Sagarin. Half of the B1G (OSU, PSU, NEB, WISC, UM, NU) could have done what they did with that schedule. ND is way overmatched in the NCG but they beat the right teams to get there.

Go Gophers!!

They didn't exactly beat Stanford, but they were awarded the win.

If Saban doesn't skip out the back door to the NFL after this game, there is about a 95% chance they play for it all next year. The schedule isn't too daunting. They play VT, Chattanooga, Georgia State, and Colorado State in the non-conference. SEC East opponents are Kentucky and Tennessee (1-15 combined conference record this year).

It seems as if there is a 95% chance he plays for the national title every year. Regardless of schedule.

Go Gophers!!

Most exciting part of the game was the "conversation" between the center and QB lol.

All this game does is make me look forward to Bama-Arkansas next year ;)

What will it take to get rid of the Gatorade Bath?

It's old and lame.

Saban would be a fool to leave Alabama for the NFL. He is a legend, makes millions of dollars, and can get a national championship caliber team every year till he retires.

The real question is, how much would NDSU have beat Alabama by?!

That's a joke by the way.

The replay.

#8 (the player who wasn't blocked) for Notre Dame touched the ball before it hit the ground, that's a penalty.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but also I don't think you're right. I believe once the punt returner touches the ball it is live. I do not believe that it has to touch the ground. Think about this situation. Notre Dame is punting from the 50. Their punter kicks a high pop fly punt that will land on the three. You often times see gunners sprint down and catch the punt.

I think Notre Dame was screwed on this play.

For those criticizing Te'o, I just think he was too tired from jumping around like an idiot after every play all season long. All that effort firing his teammates up finally wore him down (Is there a sarcasm emoticon here?).

Gotta give it up for Saban and company. That was just old-fashioned smashmouth football. For those who don't buy the star-ratings of recruits, Alabama is case study #1 as to why they matter. Talent alone doesn't do it. Those kids are extremely well-coached. But Alabama's recruiting classes always contain the cream of the crop and it showed again tonight.

Does anyone else find it hilarious how fans of SEC teams not only cheer for Alabama in the NC, but almost act like their team won it afterwards? It's one thing to root for the other conference members, it's another to act like your team just won it all. Do you think Michigan or Penn St. fans would be pounding their chest if Ohio St. wins a championship? How about USC and Stanford if Oregon wins it all? Truly bizarre if you ask me.

What I also think is funny is how all the SEC fans before the season were talking about how much Texas A&M are outcasts from the Big 12 and they wouldn't do much in the SEC. Now, all you hear from them is how good they are. They sure changed their mind and claimed them pretty fast.

But Gopher fans will pound their chest if Wisconsin or Iowa lose at anything.

Joe Webb's "Little Darlings" would have had a hard time against Bama tonight. The whole OL will be playing in the NFL at some point. They've draft players at almost every position. I thought maybe the Ducks could give them a game. Boy, was I wrong!

I do recall, and it's amazing how beating their best team changes perspective. They wouldn't be able to hang with the big, bad SEC. Now they're probably in the national title picture next season lol.
