crimson tide/fighting irish national championship game thread

ND hadn't allowed a TD drive longer than 75 yards all season. Alabama's first drive, an 82 yard TD drive.

Gonna be a blowout. Joy. Another snoozer of a championship.

Anyone else notice the TE on the left side move before the snap on that TD?

Refs are really getting into the mix. No review on the catch and then that.

@GopherHole The last Big Ten team to defeat Alabama was #Gophers in 2004 Music City Bowl 20-16 coached by @BTNGlenMason. #RollTide

Go Gophers!!

@GopherHole: In that 2004 win over Alabama, #Gophers MB3 & Maroney combined for 292 yds rushing. Cupito only completed 5 passes for 73 yds. #RollTide

Go Gophers!!

Well I guess we know who the NCAA picked to win this one.

It's amazing how late they let returners call fair catch now days. It's not just in this example but more in general.

His own guy ran into him, and the ND player was only there because he was being pushed. Ridiculous.

14-0 and we are still in the first quarter. Bama didn't earn those points.

Bama 7 ND 0 Refs 7

I'm not going to shed tears for a bad call against notre dame considering the only reason they're playing in this game is because of a blown call in their favor.

Anything else on tonight? This one won't keep my attention past 21-0

Well, they tried to screw them a third time, but Kelly's whining forced them to look.

Green Mile, South Park, Bachelor, WWE Monday Night Raw. Cake Boss, American Pickers.... This is just my personal taste in Television though.

But yeah, Notre Dame clearly shouldn't be in this game.

If the NCAA had their act together, Texas A and M should be playing tonite. Alabama has 4 future 1st round picks who will dominate and let their offense roll. Still not ready to watch "The Bachelor".

Well, I am currently on the east coast on business with an early meeting tomorrow. At least I know I won't have to stay up late to watch the end of this "game". If Alabama was smart, they had a contingency for treating the second have like a spring game where they can get a look at some guys that might factor in their plans for next season.

Looks more and more like the title game was the Georgia-Bama thriller in Atlanta.

Teo being exposed for what he really is...just a good linebacker. Put him on any other team and no one knows who he is.

Who says stars don't matter? Take note - Alabama has on average about 18 4*/5* recruits the last four years. We are witnessing the makings of another football dynasty here.

Texas A&M doesn't deserve it. They lost twice this year at home.

Under the current system, Notre Dame absolutely deserves to be playing in this game. They played a good schedule and went undefeated. That doesn't mean they are the second best team in the country. It just proves how broken the system is.

Edit: Just thought of something else. If Notre Dame had lost a game earlier this year, Florida would be playing Alabama right now. The same Florida team that just got spanked by Louisville.
