Oregon is better than everyone else. The 2-8 or so are not that far apart.
 



So does 11-2 SMU get in over 3 loss Alabama?.....they should.....but will they.....really can't stand Dabo and Clemson.....

You know the committee right now is sitting there going Son of a......They will put Bama in but will have to deal with a lot more flack for doing it than if SMU had won.

If they don't, then it's all a sham and only about money. They can't move a team that loses on a last second FG below a team that didn't even play. Otherwise, teams in SMU's situation should opt out of playing in the conference championship going forward.

Well if thats the case then it’s a consolation. I really wanted SMU to win this thing. With 2 loss Georgia beating Texas and 3 loss Clemson beating SMU, the southern teams are going to say their conferences are just so competitive. Though Clemson didn’t even play Miami or Syracuse, the 2 other ranked teams in their conference. Let’s just see Oregon win this whole playoff.

If SMU won.....there wouldn't be a team jumping into the playoff picture that wasn't there. Clemson is a bid stealer as SMU was ranked 8th. Now the committee, if they try to shoehorn Alabama in, will have to explain how they were willing to punish a team that was IN.....for playing an extra game.

I don't think they are going to do it.....as it would create a major problem in the future for Championship games. Conferences do not want that.

Yeah....that got pretty ridiculous. Don't fault anyone for beliefs and what not but can't stand it when players/teams act like God is on their side.

God works through the Syrcause football team to open doors for Clemson.

Everything you are saying makes complete sense and I hope you are right....but still won't be shocked one bit when Alabama is announced as a playoff team.
