I agree. It was epic trolling. Minnesota wasn't trolling Alabama. They were honoring the host state Tennessee. It's about time we push back a little. It's not like they (BigTen Rivals) haven't trolled us before.

IIRC his claim to fame was/ is reporting on the Twins? It appears the knowledge stops there.

People mock Row the boat and the Gophers especially Badger fans, and he Birk doesn't get why Gopher fans enjoyed trolling the Badgers. The Badgers rowed the boat with the Axe in 2019. Birk is boob class human on humor and trolling then.

Matt Birk is a very selfish person who only thinks of himself. In addition, he clearly isn't a Gopher Fan at all. Move back to the east coast if you think Harvard is so great.

Matt Birk is a great dude. He went to Nativity and Cretin, so he is, by default, a great person. He also does an immense amount for charity. I get his politics don't align with everyone's but if our professional athletes, on average, did as much for other people as Matt Birk has done, the world would be a much better place.

That said, his take on the Gopher game is awful and flew right over his head. His use of "beta" was also kind of "cringe".

Birk is a smart guy. But he played Ivy league football. Their main rivalry is an argument between whether Hamlet or Macbeth is better. He'll never understand true hated rivalries between power five teams.
