No offense, but how the hell does anyone know if Buggs and Ellis are going to be good shooters next year? Or do you just mean better than Williams and Coleman? Maybe I am reading wrong?
You are a better shooter than Coleman or Williams. I am dead certain that Ellis is by just having watched video of him.
As WillB says, watch Buggs in warmups. I've watched films of him and I saw him play in the Tubby Tip Off where he hit everything he threw up. He can shoot. Rodney Williams in a newspaper article said that Buggs is a much better shooter than he is. Rodney would not say that (it's not exactly good news for him) if it were not true.
Does this mean that Ellis and Buggs are going to solve out problems and be instantly better than Rodney and Joe? No. But it does mean what they may improve on a major problem we currently have. This current group of players may be more athletically talented than next year's group- I don't know. I am just hoping that next year's group is a better team when all is said and done.
Freshmen can score and it happens every year in the Big Ten. Andre did it. Stauskus is doing it for Michigan, Harris at MSU, Geselle at Iowa, Shields at Neb., Demps for NW, Johnsonand Hammons for Purdue and Dekker for Wisconsin.
If you are asking Frosh to lead you - yeah then you might have a problem, but we do have a lot of veterans returning. Nothing is certain about next year but there is hope based on who they have and depending on how they are coached.
