A scholarship could have been given a younger project kid who may have added some value in the immediate?
How would a young project add value in the immediate? Maybe in the long term, but even then, in the era of the portal there's no guarantee you'll ever see the fruits of their labor. Plus, we already have Betts, Keinis & Reader, none of whom have given us much of anything this season.
Wilson has contributed a bit in games this season, adds a much needed big body for a guy like Payne to bang against in practice (his most valuable contribution), seems to be well liked by the guys, is happy in his limited role & frees up a schollie next season for a guy who can give us an immediate contribution.
How much of a contribution were you expecting from our 10th man? How much are other B1G teams getting from their 10th man? I think Wilson is a GREAT use of a scholie for one year.
