Reid Travis got an offer from Boston College.
For the "alternative jersey" point, it sounds extremely far fetched, but is 100% true. I went to multiple games where I had certain parents talking to themselves "why is that kid wearing a different jersey". It may not have been a Vikings jersey, it didn't have the Vikings logo... but it was not a CDH jersey, different shade of purple and was noticeably different from every other jersey.
Agree with you on JV vs B-squad, just wanted to point out that Rhoda did play JV as a sophomore, "RJ3" didn't. IMO, the coaches obviously view them a bit differently, whatever that may be.
And agree on your last paragraph is well. I want to make it clear, I have never seen him play and am no means trying to say he is talentless... just from everything I have heard/ read, etc this is ALL hype. The quotes out there are laughable and clearly show someone is driving/buying the recruiting hype "Joe Mauer and Chris Weinke have pegged as the next big thing at CDH QB", etc etc.
Lamonte Edwards. Although I and others always thought he would be better on defense, my guess is that at least a few teams thought he could play RB.Jeff Jones picked up an from Michigan State. Validates his legitimacy as a BCS back! It has been awhile since Minnesota had a running back with two BCS offers.

Roderick Williams and KJ Maye did, and both will be on campus in 23 days. Last year, David Cobb did as well. In 2010, Donnell Kirkwood had multiple BCS offers. All 4 running back recruits in the last 3 years had multiple BCS offers.
They probably got some tape or saw him at a camp. Unfortunately, high school accomplishments are secondary to those things. Can anyone explain the d1 offer to Hawaii rj3 received? He's barely played at all through 5 games and has basically 0 varsity exposure. Why would a d1 school offer an overhyped less talented backup before somebody like Rhoda, the starter with 2 years varsity experience. Rhoda has an offer from North Dakota so far but no D1 offers.
