Chip Scoggins: Catching up with Greg Eslinger

Loved his play, and the Gopher running game in those days.

I have to go back and watch the Frales Highlight videos every now and then. Get's me pumped. I especially like the 2003 Michigan game as it was the national coming out party for the ground game and the announcers are just stunned. Several times they mentioned how incredible it was to see Eslinger leading those sweeps. Of course I pretty much pretend the game ends at the beginning of the 4th qtr.

I love the video with Kill yelling "play til the whistle!" Easily said, but hard to do. Eslinger always seemed to play to the whistle. Unassuming, not massive, but technique and tenacity, and brains made him a Gopher great. Sounds like he has remained humble. I wishe he could've made a few bucks in the NFL, but it probably was best for his long term health.
